Here is my story<br>OK I have 3 dogs sadie Dakota and Jasmine<br>none of them respond to me really<br>Dakota<br>Dakota is an australian cattledog black lab mix an I lova her but she never really shws me affection unless I have food. I even bakedher a cake for her bdayShe likes my dad who doesnt do half thething i do for her. Anybody know anyway I could connect with her.<br>Jasmine<br> A pit bull Jasmine is my sister's dog I try to play wit her and she looks at me like I'm some freak!<br>I'm the one who walks her and picks up her poop not my sister! yet she still goes and sits on mysisters lap not mne<br>Sadie<br>Theres not much I can do about Sadie she is 17 and thinks I;m a hostile thea if I sit next to her shell get up and move a couple feet and lay down again!<br>shes also blind and deaf .<br><br><br>I mean it's not fair my dad has Dakota my sister has a cat jasmine (a dog) and a cockatiel My mom has a cat and Sadie(a dog) and I have a cockatiel and a fish I mean If I got a bird my sister got a bird but if she got a dog and a cat and i get. . . . . . . ZIP!

    Ah, Australian Cattle Dog would explain why Dakota acts the way she does :wink: <br><br>My friends dog is an Aussie Cattle dog, and all you have to do is yell at her, and she runs with her tail in between her legs and hides :) <br><br>Yes, try and get another dog. :wink: <br><br>And if you wanna win Dakotas heart over, I guess just try and spend more time with her.

    I need all the help I can get I already made a presentation and a contract what else can i do to convince them other then the things I already tried?

    tell them that its not fair that your sister gets a cat and a dog and all you get is fish. Tell them your responsible enough and that your the one who picks up after your sisters dog. If you know of a dog you want research about the breed and what they are like if they are good family dogs and stuff about them it might help I don't know thats what I did when I got my cat(and I was 11)

    hmm say your just saying that it would be fair if you got a dog you sister has one you don't every one else in your family does just you don't. I don't know really what else to say I didn't have many problems when I got my cat so I can't really think of anything else to do.

    Maybe make them something, ya know... like a cute little card or something, and in it, asking politely for a dog. :wink: <br><br>Like say:<br><br>"Dear Mom&Dad:<br><br> I wanted to ask you if I could get a new dog. All the dogs that are currently in the house don't care for me much, because they love you guys too much. I want a dog who can love me, because i think I deserve to have a companion as well. Whatever your choice, I will respect it, but I surely hope you understand that having a dog of my own means everything to me.<br><br><br>Thanks,<br><br>(name here)<br><br><br><br>Somewhere along those lines ^^ and decorate it up all cute and stuff :wink:

    Honestly, if that one dog is 17 years old, I think you should wait until she dies. Just so it won't stress her out if you bring home a mischief puppy or a strange new dog.

    <br><br>My dog was almost 12. She still acted like a puppy, until she all the sudden got fast spreading cancer. Things happen to dogs out of nowhere, she could be gone tomorrow, you just never know.

    I think it's kind of lame to get another dog to basically replace your others.<br><br>Just try to bond with them more, don't go out and get another dog just because you think the ones you have dislike you.
