Ignoring people's bids?

edited August 2005 in Game Suggestions
Ah, I've been thinking. Many novices/noobs never change with their bids. So I thought if someone bid a stupid bid on your dog (And you know that this person has been playing for a while and hasn't changed) that you can ignore their bids! That idea just popped into my head, and I know I come up with bad suggestions, but I thought maybe this could work. PLEASE vote and REPLY!

  • You mean an option like we just got for the messages? So If somebody insists on bidding $5 for my fully trained and stat-maxxed rare breed giftie, I could just tell the game to ignore them? I think I might like that. You know they're just hoping you'll accidently sell the dog, right? :P

    Well, my dog loves me.
  • We shouldn't just blame novices though, like in your poll options. This game's for all players, novices and sponsors.

Some newer players just plain don't know what a dog is worth. I know some players do bid stupid bids over and over again but not all are trying to be a pest.

I gotta say though the ability to ignore all bids from a certain user who is driving you up the wall or wont take no for an answer would be handy.
  • No Sable, it doesn't only have to be novices. It can be sponser's, too. And I'm not trying to blame the novices, I just know that I am getting tired of bids like '10'. I think it might work. Novices can have this upgrade, too. It doesn't only have to be sponsers.

I agree. THe magority of people bidding like this probably are novices, but who's to say that just because sponsers gave this site 20 dollars that they are some how high and mighty and don't do things like that?

When people suggest things like that, isn't it kind of I dunno, a form of racism or discrimination? I suppose rassicm isn't the word more like accountism if you get my drift. LOL!!

Why do people seem to think Dog/horse is always anti novice?

Can't anybody tell that he/she mean't it in a general way? By saying noobs (wich as I've gathered is a anoying player who asks anoying questions and does stupid things.) he/she meant that he/she's geting anoyed at all the bids, like everybody else it.

Sable and tiger woman, I'm not trying to be mean or rude I'm just pointing out that dog/horse didn't mean to be anti novice and he/she didn't mean to in another thread that was started by he/she and he/she was gotten on to for being anti novice.

If I've offended any of you in any way I'm sorry, I didn't mean to or want to.

  • Don't worry rose cooper. I'm not offended, I guess I did come on a bit to strong, but, you can get kicked of this game for raccism or being sexist, so how is it different than judging by accounts?

What dog/horse said was that sponsers are above doing something like bidding stupid bids, and how is that true? Just cause one player is rich dosn't mean that they'll be a good sponser!

Sorry, I think I did it again *smacks head*

  • Yes! I'm getting tired of the novice's bids -.-

Look at the poll. There's no need to say that when it could have been worded as 'Yes! I hate nonsense bids!' instead or something similar.
  • yes, look at your poll, then my poll. this is a copy off of my post, though my post has 21 yes vs 2 no, yours is almost 50/50

  • I really don't mean it that way. Rose, thank you. I mean it how she says it. I'm not trying to be racist hot_tiger_woman. That was a little strong, too. I am NOT an anti-novice..All of my friends but one are novices. And I made a mistake on the poll, I didn't mean it that way.
