Well, I want a small pet, not a lizard or something.

Please vote & even post suggestions & some tips on the different animals.

I'm thinking about a hedgehog :-)
I'd have to go with Hammy. I have a hamser of my own. So can be a little nippy, but they are pretty fun little pets.

If you want a suggestion, I'd go with Ferrets. That kind of a personal thing though. They are very interactive ( or at least in my experiance) They may be bigger than you are looking for though.
I going to have to say a hammy too, the dwarfs can be a little nippy though :P But the Teddy bears are so cute I just got a couple of them and they are very easy to take care of and quiet except for the weel unless you get a silent one
Me Too Say Hammster They are so cuddly and cute, but they make a lot of squeeling  at least the ones I had did , and some happen to be very nippy at times.
Yeah, my friend had 2 hamsters, and they were cute and didn't really nip until you wanted to take them out.

Yeah, I love hedgehogs, they are just so cute. Haha.
Hedgehog.

My friend had one for a couple years, he was the sweetest thing. He would fall asleep in your hands and didn't mind to be handled. The bought him a little ball to run around in and it was just adorable.

Just make sure that when you pick a name, it's the one that sticks. My friend's headghog was Sonic untill her dad changed it into Spike.

Do not get a guinea pig. In third grade I had to look after one (our class pet). The horrible thing squealed and whislted all night and when ever I was told to hold it, I became the bathroom.
Ugh. NO guinea pigs. >< I have two right now. They bite, pee all over you, talk really loud all night long, and are extremely skittish. Plus they need to be washed often, and their cages need to be cleaned just as often, if not more often, than a ferret cage.

I have two.

As they get older they'll resent peeing in front of you. It's for privacy reasons XD. They'll quiet down too. But they are really awesome. You wash them around 1-2 times a month but not to much as not to dry out their skin. They're cages can be messy but it's a pricve for owning them...

Mine are around 3 and I got them as babys.

Ours are still young, but not too much so. We don't wash them as often as we should, but we wash them every couple months. XDD
I don't know where you live and what the laws and such are, but here in order to own a hedgehog (and not get fined/your hedgehog taken away) you need a permit.
Good luck with whatever you pick =3
Dont get a chinchilla they are extremely messy and like to pee on walls they are cute and cuddly but the do bite some times hard and they will chew on any thing and every thing my cousin has 5 of them 3 males 2 females don't put 2 females together they will start fighting thats all I can say about them. I would get a hamster, hedgehog or a sugar glider they are all clean you can take sugar gliders any where and they wont leave you. I don't know about the others
