Idea: Custom Brand Image

Here's a notion I had, see if there is any interest. I was thinking what if we could use our own custom image behind the brand letters. So we would have the option to upload a 70 by 70 gif or jpeg(same size as the little graphics we have now) of our making. It would not be too tough to impliment as we already have an option to select brand images which are hosted here on site and to link ranch directory images. In my experince very few people use the ranch directory image link option so perhaps we could even replace that with the option for sponsors to have custom brand images if storage space, etc., would be an issue. Though if we have a size limit pixel wise and file size wise(so no uncompressed animations that are huge file sizes for graphics like we have here on the message board because people don't optimize and slow down thread loading) it should be a pretty minimal amount of space to host and not really effect the dog view page load time. So what do folks think. Post your comments here.

yeah, I think we should be able to have custom images. I dont really want any of the breeds we have available b/c none are breeds i'm specilized in

I'm for this idea too! I even know where to find the head-shot silhouettes that I want for my breeds.

If it isn't possible to do custum brand images what about a brand for every breed? For some people it is impossible to find a picture of the breed that they are doing.

I might make some little breed sprites for folks to use. That'd be fun. *edits* Gah I didn;t realize Kaza was going to make some for people. That's so weird I didn;t even know she was until she saw me post this. *L* And that's why people says twins have ESP. *LOL*

I'm just going to do breeds and real breed colours that way everyone can use them if they'd like. Sorry. :P Though like I mentioned a couple other places you may have to wait until Friday when my stiches come out of my head and I get my eye back. It's swollen/taped shut at the moment. So I'm one eyed and it's hard to do art type stuff. Those sables are a year old.

Okay, got another one, a doberman. Perhaps a black and tan or liver and tan. Those could do triple-duty, since they could be applied to Dobermans, German Pinschers and Miniature Pinschers. And I'm sorry to hear about your eye Sable. As often as I poke myself in my own, I know yours must hurt.

Well it's actually my head. I gashed it opena nd gave myself a concussion. :P But it went down the forehead and into the top of the eye socket so they don't wnat to take any risks. I faint a lot and no one really knows why. Been like that for years. Anyways every once and a while I do it asomewhere and end up hurting msyelf. Thursday was one of those times. Okay so I'll add those breeds to my list.

Okie I'll add those new ones Marleen and Rayne. I guess it would make more sense to have the greyhound and other coursers running but I' might just do them standing. And thanks for the well wish, I am getting better. I had to take it real easy for a few days. I'm going to try going to university tommorow, see how that goes.

And just before I head off to bed I wanted to see if I could do one with one eyes. See how it turned out.

Wow, those look cool. (If they're to be Keeshonden though, they're supposed to be grey and black, though. Nevertheless, they look awesome! I love the tail!)

I did the colours off a photo though. Cream with dark points. Bleh. Well that's an inauspicious start. We have cream with black points here as a colour I figured they were the same.
