New Messages

I think VP should have a spot that tells you if you have any new messages without having to click the messages tab. I know they have this on VHR.. I dont generally click my messages tab so it takes me a while to respond to people because I dont even notice they messaged me. What do you think? good or bad?

I really like this idea. It would be nice to know right away I have new messages since as an Op I like to reply quickly when PMed about things that need my attention. I try to check my messages often but sometimes when training or watching chat I don't get to them right away.

I agree with the idea. All that would need to happen is to move the New Messages notice to the blue area at the top of the page, maybe under the kennel name or your available fame points. It would really help when you are doing something that keeps you away from the Community page for a long time, like training or entering events.

Well if you go to the BB, which I do immediatly efter I check on my "While You Were Waay" box, it tells you how many new messages you have. It also says this under the Search Kennels And Players Section. I use both of these just about everyday so I always know, but if you don't I guess that would be useful.

I don't know if it's just me, but, when I get a new message in the forums, a popup says that I have a new message. And in VP, It sends me an email if I get a new PM.

Parker your memory is failing you faster and faster :P. I told you a week ago that I had emailed Nef about this. I still haven't heard anything back from her about it but I will ask her in chat if I see her.

Well, I always go to Community to see what's going on with the Bulletin Board. It tells you on that page as well if you have any new messages. I'd say there are plenty of places that announce if you have a new message without you having to click on the mailbox in order to find out.

Some of use who train don't go to the commuity that often though. I do check frequently because I'm a game op but still I feel like I am not getting to my messages quickly because I don't go check every 5 to 10 minutes lol. This was suggested to Nef today though and she liked the idea

. People should be able to tell from any page now that they have new messages.
