Hello everyone! :) Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Erin, and I'm a newbie :) I stumbled upon this website in a Google search and I'm very anxious to get started off right! It seems very addicting...

This is my kennel <a href="http://virtualpups.com/index.php?r=kennel/view&id=517343"; target="_blank" class="bb-url">http://virtualpups.com/index.php?r=kennel/view&id=517343
I took a few days and browsed through rescue dogs and noticed there were differences in the stars, and though I don't know anything about anything yet I'm assuming I at least picked some decent ones?

A little about myself... I recently turned 21 and I work full time at a pet resort and doggie daycare kennel. I'm currently trying to decide what I want to go to school for - leaning towards vet tech, though I'm really not sure. I love messing with photoshop and html. I watch a lot of T.V and movies. Specifically, I'm a huge Sherlock (BBC, but Arthur Conan Doyle ftw) fan, as well as Marvel, Lord of the Rings and Star Wars <3 I read a lot, and that includes a ton of fan fiction :3 Oh, and I game a lot (WoW, SWtOR, ESO). Though, not properly.

Anyway, that's me. Looking forward to getting to know some of you

VP can be a little confusing at first but there's tons of players willing to help out and lots of info here on the forums. If you need any help or have questions feel free to PM me and I'll help as much as I can. Love the name of your kennel by the way :D

When it comes to dog stats the higher stated usually the better but that's not always the case. A 10x4 (meaning it has 4 stars in all 10 stats) is usually a pretty sound dog but it will do terrible in conformation events sense that event type judges based on the breed standard and lower stated dogs and imports (dogs that have no parents and have been imported to the game by a sponsor) will do better. Just the same some dogs of all stats can sometimes turn out to be great eventers if trained right. A lot really just depends on how the dog is trained, other factors, and luck.

If you're interested I offer free fully trained and ready to event dogs to new and returning players. If you want to check it out here's the official thread for it or you could PM me. <a href="http://virtualpups.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=44&t=84123"; target="_blank" class="bb-url">HH Kick Start Program

Also sounds like we have a few things in common, I dabble with the generic version of Photoshop (GIMP) and a little with html. Though nothing impressive ha. I'm a bit of a gamer, though not on PC as I don't have a good enough rig to do anything with. I play on console and when not playing I like to watch my Boyfriend play a lot of games. I'm actually about to dabble with Minecraft in a bit. Some others I like include Skyrim, Dragon's Dogma, Diablo III, Mario, The Legend of Zelda and the like. I tend to be on the nerdy/geeky side :3

Again welcome to VP!

Hello, nice to meet you! :) Ah, and thanks - I also love the name of my kennel  It was the first thing that popped into my head and I was surprised how lovely it sounded heh :3

I've read some forum posts in the Help section about eventing and stats and what not, so I think I have a better understanding now. Thank you for your help! I will definitely check out your program :D

I've never played Minecraft, it just looks weird to me xD I do love Zelda and Mario, though <3 The only reason I stick to PC gaming is because I have no consoles xD Just a Wii, which I don't enjoy that much. I recently discovered The Elder Scrolls Online, having never played Skyrim prior to that, and I love it! My favorite games are games with massive worlds that you can explore!

Thank you, again! :P

I sometime want to change the name of my kennel 'Howling Hollows' but I've built up a whole kennel line based around it. I like it a lot most days but I also easily get bored with things and want to change it up. Oh well lol.

The 8 bit look of Minecraft has a huge nostalgia factor so me. It kinda bugged me at first but once I got use to it I found the worlds have their own special kind of beauty. I love that you can pretty much build what ever you think of, makes me think of legos but virtual. I grew up playing Zelda and Mario so they always hold a special place in my heart. I would love to play The Elder Scrolls Online but I only have dial up internet at home and it's far to slow to even think about online gaming. Whenever I finally get to move and get better net it is on my list of games to MUST play. I love Skyrim, and before that Oblivion, and before that Morrowind. They are all awesome games. Like you I love games with big open worlds to explore. I also highly enjoy games with a lot of character customization!

It's nice to meet and chat with you. Hope you decide to stick around VP, the game and community needs all the active players it can get :D
 • Hi!
I myself am just now coming back after a long time off, so I'm refamiliarizing myself with how everything works. I love BBC shows. I watch more Downton Abbey though than Sherlock. I don't really game much mostly because I don't have the time or any consoles.

Nice to meet you! :-D
