I have played VHR for years but due to its inactivity I thought I would wonder over here and attempt VP. I forgot how hard it was to be a novice with 50k to start out with! I am trying to figure out how this game is set up and get a decent understanding of what I am doing. I got a decent female (If I am following the stats right) and have entered her in several classes. She was bred to a decent stud and had 6 pups. I am still learning stats and was curious if you could give me a heads up as per what pups are worth training, how they rank in the world of dogs on here. Etc. Also, if anyone has any trainers they could recommend, barring in mind that I have a hair over 30k total. Thank you guys so much for bearing with this newb.

hi! it's awesome that you're paying attention to the stats and everything! I'm gonna be honest though- while your dogs' star stats are pretty decent, the parentheses stats aren't too great, and those are what really matter for eventing. Greyounds are typically bred for racing, and high speed/endurance is pretty important to be successful in the breed! good speeds are around 145-148.3 in parentheses! if sold, your current puppies would be worth around 3k-8k. a good tip is to send your dogs to a sponsor breeder, or send the female and let them know what stud to use (include the stud fee in addition to the sponsor's breeding fee of course!) this way, the puppies that are whelped at this player's kennel will get a huge bonus and will have much better stats compared to if you had bred them yourself. also, the female doesn't even need to be in heat, and she can be bred at any time. I sent you a contract for $500k to get you started out and stuff. i'd be happy to train for whatever price for you as well, fawn. is my username (with the period!) if you have any other questions, i'd be happy to answer them (:

I don't really event and training is what I do, if you want any training done just send a contract to Sole Survivors with however much you can afford and what you want doing in the notes

Gosh I used to play in 2009 then left... and had to come back a couple months ago, it was tough getting back into things so I understand where your at. I can offer breeding for you if you ever need it, and once in a while i get in a training mood! I have quite a few eventers, and greyhounds with high speed if that is what your interested in.

I see that Finny answered your questions regarding to pups, so I won't bother with that. But, I do have a few things to offer! I can offer free sponsor training. I thought this post was hilarious. And I'm sorry to say that we're just as empty as VHR, if not emptier. The VP community is so desperate for people all you have to do is mention that you're new, and suddenly you'll have literally everything you need to become a top player in two seconds. I'm just waiting for someone to offer up a sponsor account...... Wait for it..... PM me about a freebie if you ever do decide to log back into the forums to be ambushed again. Honestly, we need all the people we can get. And to answer your question, if you take a look at the top dogs list you'll get an idea of what we occasionally strive to reach, although everyone has different VP goals and a lot of them don't even pertain to eventing. There's a lot to learn when it comes to VirtualPups, that's what the tips section in the forums is for, lots of useful guides there.

Hopefully you return and really get the VP experience before running away!
