What happens if...

I'm curious now, seeing as there are quite a few events that are now over a month overdue... What happens if a kennel becomes inactive while hosting events? Will the events automatically run when the upgrade expires? If that's the case, what happens with lifetime kennels...do the events just sit in limbo for eternity?

I'm just wondering. I know Ops used to run events after about a week if there were at least 20 entries or so, but from my understanding that's just something they did if/when they wanted to not out of obligation. So what happens if the Ops decide not to bother with events and the player that hosted the events never comes back to the game to run them?

 • The events would just sit there. In Beta, the events run themselves after meeting certain criteria, so that shouldn't be a problem unless an event doesn't get enough entries. We tried that here at least once, though I want to say twice, but when Ops don't look at events from time to time, a few players take that to mean they can enter more than 4 dogs.

 • So in beta, the events run themselves automatically? Or would the host still have to run them normally and they only run themselves once they're extremely overdue?

 • We've not worked out exactly what the length of time will be. I would imagine once we get Beta up and live, that we'll ask for input from the players. Hosts will always have the option of running them themselves after 1 day if the event has more than 10 entries.
