Recessive Gifty Colors

<span style="color:#400080">Something I've been wondering about for a while now. With gifty colors I know a gifty parent can pass on the color to offspring and I'm wondering if a non gity dog who has a gifty parent, grandparent, etc can pass the color on. Not sure if the gify color goes into a kind of recessive mode or if a dog has to have a gifty parent. </span>

I don't think there is a recessive gifty gene at play in the game. I think one of the parents has to have the color, to have a chance of passing it on to pups.
