Veteran Rewards Questions

So I was ECSTATIC to log on and find these rewards. I've never been around for them before so I have a few questions.

1. Are the rewards per player or per sponsor account? (I'm curious because I have 4 sponsor kennels).
2. With the veteran only dyes what are the veteran dye suffixs, I see a 1,2, and 3. I've never dyed a dog on my own before so this is a new process to me.
3. Also do the rewards have an expiration date? I'll be thinking for a bit on what I want and may need to breed a few dogs to dye.

I believe that covers my curiosities.

  • It per sp account and if you have 10 credits it one per dye because I did my today on all my kennels :-D

  • First of all... THANK YOU to the owner! And Para, the rewards are per sponsor kennel, and if you had one kennel sponsored for a year and another for two years, you get three rewards total! Which is quite awesome and generous

I am also curious about whether/when these gifts will expire. I'm thinking about using one of the dyes for when I finally finish one of my lines, but I wouldn't want to lose it before then!

And i belive that half the time i am a wolf amoung the sheep gnawing at the wool over my eyes
  • That's my question too. What's with the numbers? Will they show up after the color we choose? I didn't do anything yesterday because I wanted to figure out what everything meant first. I have 9 credits, so I could possibly make a set of 9 dyes.
  • And very important - how long till we have before they expire. I have 16 credits to use and I am horrible at coming up with dye colors! Might need some help on that one!!!

I do have to add though that I am very happy about the rewards - very nice of VP to do this for us.

  • I think the suffix is to identify that it is a veteran award/free dye, since they don't go on other dyes that you purchase

So hence, if you dye a dog whatever colour, and have a three suffix, people will know it was because you have been a sponser for three years.
Which is kinda interesting, if you think, the lower numbered suffix will be most common and higher numbers being much rarer (or at least that is what I assume). So if is people want to start collecting veteran dyed dogs, the higher the suffix then arguably, the more the dog could be worth?

Obv, this could all change is a high suffix dog is over bred and all but yeah, I'm sure you get the drift od what I am saying xD

That's my thought's anyways.

I too would like to know what they run out, I've love to choose the dye and do some sort of Sherlock themed dye :)

  • There is no expiration on the rewards, except if you allow a sponsor to expire. They should, however, return, including your previous time as a sponsor, when you upgrade again. So say you had a sponsor for 2 years and it expired 3 years ago. If you responsor it now, you should have credit for those 2 years, assuming you hadn't already chosen one of the previous reward breeds. Do be aware that the credits are expendable. Once you use credits, you don't get them back.

Yes, the rewards are per sponsor, though they do not transfer between sponsors. So if you have a 5 year sponsor and a 2 year sponsor, you can't use combined credits to get the 7 year reward.

The suffix is exactly to note that it is a reward dye and what year reward it was for.

  • Thanks for answering Bama!

I am very excited and grateful to the owners for the rewards. It made my night last night to see them! I've got some plans already so hearing they don't expires is awesome. Now I have more motivation to get some lines finished hehe.

http://virtualpups.com/index.php?r=dog/view&id=1723357

It just puts a number before and after the color... But be advised, the two numbers (and I guess the space between the first number and the color) will take up 3 characters, so plan your dye accordingly! The dog linked got its color cut off, the last word should be "Muchness" and instead is just "Much"
