For the past week or so not one but both of the dogs in the house has been sick. Ironically the symptoms hadn't shown up until maybe a day or two after they came back from the groomers. My mothers rottweiler Bofa Jo (Named for the Dr. Sues character Bofa on the Sofa and my dogs old name Joker, Jo for short) Showed signs of hacking and coughing at that time. Much like an allergy attack shes had in the past after my brother mowed the lawn (Something that isnt happening in ohio during the winter). After taking her to the vet she was diagnosed with an upper respiratory tract infection. A couple of days after this my quarter rott mix Lightning suddenly started vomiting. To which I promptly gave him some pepto-bismuth which stopped that along with a bland diet of some broiled chicken.

This would all be great if in the middle of the week they showed signs of getting better. Instead both of them have a persistent cough which sounds rather deep chested and is producing nothing but stress for them. The coughing only shows if they get over stimulated, taking temperature on them proves nothing as they are within the normal range.

Mom thinks it came from the groomers kennels, I think its from the fact it was colder than usual when we washed them in the winter before. And we picked them up earlier than they wanted, Both were still rather damp/wet. Which I would claim it was from that. But I guess we'll see with them both going into the vet later today. Hopefully we can get their colds under control. Ironically as I realize that I'm now catching a cold which I would bet anything is probably from the dogs. So this may prove to be an interesting christmas.
