New internet hates me and my video game obssesion

Some of this might not make much sense also ignore any spelling and grammar mistakes We just had our internet provider changed and finally after waiting nearly a week with no internet we get it, im was really happy about this since it means i can finally use the internet again but most importantly my xbox. When i get the xbox connected it says my accounts not working so after hours of run around i find out that the account which worked perfectly fine a week before doesnt exist!!?? Now i cant dowload anything, I didnt have this problem until we changed internet over, now i cant go onto live and any pages i go to on the internet all take me back to the same non helpful source ,i had a season pass for sr4 that i wont be able to download the second dlc when it comes out

what a waste of time and money. Why does the internet hate me?

If anyone knows anyway i can access the now non existant account so i can download the dlc through my season pass please let me know

Ugh Microsoft Xbox! I use to love our Xbox 360 and still play it but we had a similar issue and ended up losing $27 for our Xbox live membership and loosing pretty much everything on the old account. MY boyfriend had been using Xbox live just fine for over a year. No issues whatsoever until one day... He signed on and was prompted to enter his account info and password for some security update and nothing he entered worked. I tried changing his password through the website and nothing. so we contacted support and found out that his gamertag (which again had been working fine for over a year, he had been signing online with his e-mail and password no issues) wasn't connected to his email. The email was connected to his old gamertag that he hadn't used in years. They said there was no way there could be two tags on one email and when I asked them why it had been working for over a year and we had no issues until now they had no explanation. So pretty much he had to start a new gamertag with a new Xbox live membership so we had to pay another $27 for the membership. He can still use his old tag off line when we're home but when he's online has to use his new one. So he had to restart any game he plays online and all that jazz. We don't have fast internet at home so when he wants to play online he has to pack up his Xbox and take it to a friend's so he didn't have a ton of games or anything on Xbox live but it still sucks. He had to re-add all his friends and start from scratch. Not sure if its something similar going on with you or not. I wouldn't see why switching internet providers would effect it but who knows. I say it's something going on with Microsoft. I looked on their forums when we were having issues and saw other people having trouble with their accounts. someone else had almost the exact same problem that we did. Hope you get it sorted out without loosing everything and having to start over.

Had mine for nearly 4 years with achievments for games that are no longee able to be gotten anymore but what annoys me is the season pass i had bought is now useless grrr, i think it stopped working because my account was through an email adress conected to my old internet which doesnt exist now or something i honestly have no idea intenet email stuff really confuses me my only other option is to use my old gamertag i had from when my last xbox used to get RROD and try and get as many of those achievments nack as i can ....so much effort and i lack that much motivation to even play xbox for achievments

Ahh I see, the e-mail may be the issue since it now no longer exists. Microsoft has gotten too strict with their security proofs. I remember reading about people have issues logging into their accounts because they use an old livemail e-mail account or something that they never really used, some created an e-mail just for the Xbox live account, and since they never used it they were deactivated. With the deactivated e-mails they could no longer sign into their Xbox live accounts. There's only two things I can think of that may help. 1. Have you tried logging into the Xbox live site/account on the web through a computer? If you can still log on via a computer you may be able to add a new e-mail address to your security page. I believe that would allow you to sign into your account on the xbox with the new e-mail. 2. If you can't log into the site on a computer the only other shot would be to contact the support. There is a support link somewhere on the xbox live web site that will allow you to instant message a support person and talk to them in real time. That is what I did when we had our issue. There is also a number you can call for support that I think is also listed on the Xbox live site. Other than that I'm not sure there is anything else you can do. I know there's been several issues with the Xbox live login since they added all the new security measures. There is a recovery form you can fill out online but the questions are ridiculously complex and if you don't fill it in just right they won't be able to varify that its your account. they'll ask things like what was the subjects of the last e-mails you sent via the e-mail linked to the account and other stuff that's hard to really remember. I understand the reasoning behind upping the security so that people can't hack into accounts and what not but they've really went way too far with them and are causing a lot of people issues.

Whats really weird is it now startes working again this morning when i turned my console on it logged into live with no problems maybe there was something wrong with live at that time but im not questioning it suddenly working since im justbhappy it works again:)
