Guess Who Got an APBT?! 9-10 Week Update Added

Well yesterday (since it is 1:25 AM my time) my boyfriend and I bought us an American Pitbull Terrier puppy from a family that lived down the road from me. She was kept in horrible conditions and we could not just leave her there. Now don't get me wrong, the people we got her from were trying to keep her healthy and well kept, but they just couldn't. She is not flea infested or anything of that nature, but she does have major sores in her ears and major ear mites. She also has major hair loss. Besides that she is fine. She is an amazing puppy though. She gets along with our daughter very well. They rode in the wagon we have all the way home. My mom is not as excited as we are, but I am hoping to get her more into our newest addition in time. She is a red nose who is mostly red with a white chest and face. Her eyes are an amazing brownish green color. I am hoping that we can get her used to us quickly along with my goat. Update: I have decided to name her Autumn due to her color reminding me of Autumn leaves. She has settled in quiet nicely and even got a chance to play with the two autistic boys that I babysit. They all did well. She is doing well with people now and hardly ever shakes when I approach her. Her ears are also clearing up from some bacteria/fungus that she had growing when we got her. She is also starting to get a lot of her missing fur back. She is oober smart and already knows how to sit and we are working on her recall command so she will be better at going for walks. I will post more pictures soon.

She's very cute! Could the hair loss be mange? Since you said it wasn't fleas.

I am thinking it is just the results of the fleas. She wasn't infested, but she did have quite a few. My family rescued our Yorkie and she was flea infested and matted, so compared to her Autumn had just a "few".

I adore blues. The person who had Autumn had a few blues in the litter, but they went fast (at Wal-Mart, so who knows what has happened to them now). Autumn was the only one left and when I saw the conditions she was in, I was like "here is $20" and took her.

What a cutie! I have a soft spots for red as my first pit bull (he was actually an APBT X Am. bulldog) was a red nose.

They both look stunning in their collars. I got all three (a Hello Kitty (not pictured), a fish skin with diamonds, and a sugar skull) for $65. They were having a special of buy-one-get-one-50%-off and then the two I bought did not come on the date they were supposed to (there was a mix up at the post office; it was uncontrolled by either parties involved in the collars), so I got one free. They are big enough for her to grow into as well. I adore them.

So cute! Is she brindle or is it just the lighting? It's kind of hard to tell. I love the collars? Where are they from? You can PM me about them if you'd rather, doesn't matter. Also, you might want to look into "knuckling over." Your pup's leg doesn't look quite right but it can be corrected. It doesn't look too bad. Pirate had a bit of it too, when he was younger.

She does have a bit of brindling in her, but it is very light. I will PM you about the information on the collars. I will look into "knuckling over" for sure. I am used to showing Bullies and their stacking is a little bit different than a Pitbull.

Well guys, I have some bad news.... My mom decided that Autumn could not stay. She still does not trust the breed around my goat. We have found her a new home however and they spoil her rotten. She has a new brother who is a blue nose. I get updates daily on her and her settling in. My mom did however see how upset my daughter and I were/am about the loss of our bestfriend and decided to allow me to get a nedw puppy. A man she works with has a German Short-haired Pointer puppy that I will be getting. Her name is Daisy. We have one other GSHP and we have owned 3 before, so it is a "trusted" breed according to my mom. I will update pictures on Daisy on another post once we get her.

Guess what everyone! I puppy sat Autumn all this week! I will post the pictures I have of her soon. She has gotten so big! She is so spoiled rotten by her new owners as well. I am so happy I found them to be her new mommies.
