Might be something I have to look into! hahaha

----

The Bone Season - Samantha Shannon is a really good book, I got through half of it in 2 days before Pokemon came out so since then I haven't done much reading, hahahaha.
My mum bought it at work and read it in a week and pretty much shoved it in my face to read it. Heh. Had to finish Fall of Five first!

*runs away to play Pokemon*

 • I better look out for it than, I really liked Throne of Glass.

The Twelve is the one after The Passage, read that one too, it is a bit of this happen before some of the events but also jumps to what happens after as well.

 • These days I mostly read manga and the occasional graphic novel or comic book as I'm too lazy to read anything with alot of text anymore. However, I have read a few books in the past when I was younger.

Books(These are mostly what I read back when I was in middle school,so likely for middle-schoolers)
-Warrior Cats series by Erin Hunter(Original, New Prophecy, and Most of the "mangas" of it such as the Gray Stripe trilogy,Raven Paw trilogy, and the "Rise of Scrouge". Also, standalone novel Super Edition of Firestar's Quest.)
-Seekers "mangas" also by Erin Hunter. There is a book series too,but I only read the "mangas".
-Shiloh Trilogy-Physillis(sp?) Reynolds Naylor
-Marco and Polo cats series, I think it was called Cat Pack or something like that. Also by Physillis(sp?) Reynolds Naylor.
-Hank the Cow Dog
-Runt(a book about wolves)

Books I read as an adult or read when I was younger, but are for adults:
-Wolves of Time Book 1 and I stared book 2,but dropped it because it started discriminating against my religion in the middle of book 2.(Lots of adult content/violence in this book.)
-Tailchaser's Song(Maybe ok for kids, but the whole demon-cats underworld thing might be a bit too creepy for them).
-Silver Wolf(a werewolf series with lots of adult content)

Classics I read of my own free will and/or enjoyed even though I had to read them for school:
-White Fang
-Call of the Wild
-The Jungle Book
-The Time Machine
-Alice in Wonderland
-A Sound of Thunder
-Old Yeller
-A Christmas Carol

Graphic Novels
-Sandman:The Dream Hunters
-Lockjaw and the Pet Avengers and its sequel
-Beasts of Burden
-Pride of Baghdad(very graphic novel about a pride of lions who are somewhat humanized (i.e. We can here them speak and they are shown to have human emotions) in a zoo in Iraq that suffer because of the destruction of the Iraqi war.)
-Mercy Thompson:Homecoming
-Mercy Thompson: Moon Called Graphic Novel version volume 1
-Avatar:The Last Airbender The Promise Part 1,2,3
-Avatar:The Last Airbender The Search Part 1,2,3
-Zuko's Story(Prequel to the below. Very good and could almost have been part of the cartoon's canon, except the creators of the cartoon said that it wasn't canon. It was nothing like the horrible live action movie.)
-The Last Airbender(Graphic novel adaption of the simultaneously hilariously bad and rage inducing liveaction adaption of the cartoon. Suprisingly, this graphic novel adaption of the movie was actually pretty decent and no where near as bad as the movie.)

OEL(Originally English Language) "Mangas":
-Yokaiden
-Peach Fuzz

Manga:
-Inuyasha
-Rin-ne
-Black Bird
-Dance in the Vampire Bund
-Animal Land
-Sakura Hime: The Legend of Princess Sakura
-Guru Guru Pon-chan
-Ginga Densetsu Weed(About dogs. Has nothing to do with drugs. The manga-ka just gave the main character dog a stupid name that I guess he didn't realize is an inappropiate slang name for a drug in English.)
-Wolf's Rain(The anime is much better though and is one of the rare cases where the anime came before the manga. I recommend the anime much more than the manga though. The manga is totally different from the anime despite coming after and it is confusing and lots of parts make no sense. The anime is excellent and although deep and somewhat hard to follow, you can make sense out of it unlike the manga.)

I'm sure there's probably more I'm forgeting in all categories but that's all I can think of for now.

 • I'm not a huge book person, but there are alot of books I would recommend for various reasons that i've either partially or fully read.

Nonfiction/other books:
Language construction kit, Mark Rosenfelder - best thing ever for making your own languages for whatever you want. Has a whole ton of basic linguistics stuff. A good intro-to-linguistics book from an odd standpoint of things.
World construction kit, Mark Rosenfelder - best world building book ever, goes hand-in-hand with the lang. constuction kit.
45 Master Characters, ??? - good for developing characters, has a good collection of basic guidelines

Novels and others:
The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel, Michael Scott. This one had me absolutely hooked. Should be 5 books in total. Fantasy, but set in modern times, on earth, multiple locations.
His Majesty's Dragon(US)/Temeraire(UK) - Naomi Novik. I liked this alot to begin with, but I eventually put it down after eight chapters of nothing interesting going on. It could have been just me though, so definately worth the risk. No idea how many books in this one. Fantasy, set somewhere between medieval ages and the industrial revolution, on earth, multiple locations.
The Great tree of Avalon, T.A. Barron - Excellent. Hooked. Entirely. Has lots of little 'easter eggs' in it, carried over from The Lost Years of Merlin. 3 books in total. Generic fantasy setting, on earth.
The Lost years of Merlin, T.A. Barron - Excellent again. A sort of predecessor to 'The Great tree of Avalon'. 5 books in total. Generic fantasy setting, on earth.
Tree Girl, T.A. Barron - Also awesome.
A Modern Faery's Tale - Holly black. Awesome series. About fairies, obviously. Fantasy, on earth, somewhere in the US.
Fullmetal Alchemist - An anime, really popular, I've always loved it. There's many versions of the story - the manga, the first anime, and the second anime. The first anime was made before the manga was finished, so at some point everything is made up and it deviates. The second anime is a lot more true to the story. I've only ever watched the first anime, but I have intentions to eventually watch the second completely.
The Giver - Had to read it for school, but it's amazing and I really enjoyed it. I loved listening to people read it out loud in class while trying not to cry.
Room - About a woman who was kidnapped and held in a soundproof, ultra-high-security 'shed' for 10 years. Told from the first-person perspective of her five year old son, who has literally known nothing but Room. Really really well written. I believe it was based on the Jaycee Dugard case.

 • I've read many books, most adult romance but y'all have listed many of the great young adult/teen books.

A couple more are the House of Night Series by Kristen Cast and PC Cast, Twilight(of course) and the Vampire Kiss series.
As for the adult ones, I recommend the Dark and the Water series by Christine Feehan, also anything else she has written. She is amazing! Anything by Nora Roberts and Lyndsay Sands, and shapeshifter and historical romances.

 • I have read way to many books like most on here but One of my top 20 at the moment is

-The Griffin Mage by Rachel Neumeier

It is a complete series but for some reason i can't find how many volumes their is. they do have a complete volume with all the books but it's a great book combining mythical and war.
