Breeds Repeated Under Different Names?

edited October 2013 in Questions/Support
So, unless, I'm missing something, it's come to my attention that for some reason, the Lundehund is on the site twice, once as the Norwegian Lundehund and once as just the Lundehund. Unless, I'm missing something, these dogs are still the same breed. Or is there two different variants because they have two different life spans(One lives to 15 years, the other only to 12) and different breed colors?

Norwegian Lundehund:
<a href="http://virtualpups.com/help/breeds.php?breed=542"; target="_blank" class="bb-url">http://virtualpups.com/help/breeds.php?breed=542

Lundehund:
<a href="http://virtualpups.com/help/breeds.php?breed=353"; target="_blank" class="bb-url">http://virtualpups.com/help/breeds.php?breed=353

Also, there are two Hokkaido Inu dogs for some reason as well. The Ainu Dog and the Hookaidu Inu. As far as I know, the Ainu Dog is another name for the Hokkaido Inu. Also, why is Hokkaido Inu spelled with two "o"s on here, instead of just one? I've never seen it spelled with two "o"s before. In the case of these two, the info is pretty much almost identical, except the Ainu Dog is listed as coming in Brindle and is listed as being a few inches taller than the Hookaido Inu.

Hookaido Inu
<a href="http://virtualpups.com/help/breeds.php?breed=320"; target="_blank" class="bb-url">http://virtualpups.com/help/breeds.php?breed=320

Ainu Dog
<a href="http://virtualpups.com/help/breeds.php?breed=88"; target="_blank" class="bb-url">http://virtualpups.com/help/breeds.php?breed=88

Is confused. Thanks for any help. :?:

 • For the purposes of Virtual Pups, they are 2 different dogs, whatever they are in real life. In the Lundehund instance, it looks like a player wanted a private breed based of the Lundehund and so chose to add Norwegian to the breed name. In the the other case, I don't know.

Virtual Pups is not real life, therefor, as long as a breed conforms to the terms of service and is not a duplicate of another person's private breed, there are probably many breeds that are similar/exact just with different names.
