I have bad computer luck...

edited September 2013 in Vent
I really don't know what me and my mom are doing but every laptop we buy ends up broken after not even 2 years.... We don't do anything but go on it with using a lap board (? if that's what it's called) so it's not on our laps and it gets to be on a table type thing. the first laptop was an HP I think... it survived a lot like my sister making it fly instead of putting it down gently so I can understand why it broke but Acer.... is extremely frustrating!!!! We got it in 2012 and right now it keeps over heating like crazy because the fan decided to stop working so no cooling for it, and any usage of the media card thing shuts it down automatically ( so no gaming for me....) I don't get why it's already broken when we did nothing to it.... Laptop shopping for Christmas this year....

Worst part of this is... I do online school... T.T

 • My HP laptop did the same thing earlier this year when I used a cooling pad under it. Instead of cooling it, the laptop over heated. I have since heard of the happening a lot. No more cooling pads for me!

 • I cool mine using another fan for my comp. Are you sure nothing is blocking the fan either outside or inside? Sometimes dust gets stuck and makes computers overheat really easily.

I personally cannot get a computer to last more than two years. Not sure why xD

 • @ tarnish : haha I see I'm not the only one that can't make a computer past : ) to answer your question I cleaned the fan not long ago to make sure that wasn't the issue but the problem is the fan won't turn on at all it doesn't spin either. Nothing's blocking it either but the last two laptop the fans stopped working.
