Blargh

So as something to both get me out the house in an evening, and to do a bit of "exercise", I try swim three times a week - Mon, Wed, Fri. I miss the odd Friday due to seeing someone and I miss the odd Monday due to Bank Holidays (public holidays in England).

Haven't been since last Wednesday, and was looking forward to going tonight. Get there for 9pm (like normal) to find the lights off in the pool, was a bit confused. Turns out someone had thrown up in the pool and they had it closed to clean. They were going to possibly be open again half an hour later, but didn't really fancy hanging around to swim in the pool that just had vomit floating about in it >.>

Won't next be able to go swim til Wednesday, so hopefully they don't have any issues so I can get a couple of hours swimming in to make up for the times I've missed! Can't even walk the dog to do some exercise because I broke him >.>

Anyone else hate when routines get disrupted?

  • O.O you broke the dog?

I used to walk from my house to the lake and back every morning as the sun came up, but we moved, so... :(
    (SPIDERS!)
  • I was wondering the same thing.. How did you "break" the dog? O.o

I used to walk my pit and Akita around the block in the neighborhood where i live a few times every morning. Sadly there are too many strays running around these days for me to do that. One tried to fight my pit last time I took her for a walk.. Now they just run and play in my own yard every day lol

Took him out to play last night to play fetch. And throwing it up and down the path he slides and skids about. He ripped his carpal pad in doing so. Didn't realise until he got home, and saw marks on the floor (blood) and he was laying there licking his leg - normally a give away that he has nicked his foot on something. Pads are annoying a bleed lots if not stitched/glued. So I got to use my vet nursing skills and wrapped his leg XD He's now limping about (when he wasn't before the bandage), acting like he's had his leg chopped off or something. He's mooching about for sympathy too off my sister and her bf lol.

We've a lake close enough to walk to, but at 9-10pm at night its not the safest place to be walking about alone. Love going there to clear my head when I'm feeling real low though with the dog. Last time I was there they hadn't cut the grass, and I could barely see the dog! And he's not the smallest of beasts!

The night has resulted in playing board games with my sister and her bf. Showing my age a bit getting more fun out of a board game than a computer game >.>
