Getting my first dog on my own

<span style="color:#0000FF"><span style="font-size:85">so I have been looking into Bull Terriers lately. I love the parade and know a couple of people who own them that say that they're awesome dogs. I want to know all of your opinions. I've done the research and stuff but does anyone on here own one? the people that I know in real life I no longer live in the same city as them so I can't go and visit their dogs. I just want your guyses personal opinion on the breed itself that is it.<br><br>Thanks<br>BobCat</span></span>

    Obviously, I'm a fan of bull and terrier breeds. I don't think you can go wrong with one. :) Be aware of dog aggression as I know some BTs are prone to it but that's really all I have to say. Otherwise, the one's I've met have been really fun, smart dogs. Good luck!

    My cousin got a BT after her PB passed away... he's twice as hyper and three times as mental. 0_0 But he's super sweet, and keeps her kids very active. I think that if you're typically a hyper person then the breed would be a great match. :]

    <span style="font-size:85"><span style="color:#0000FF">Thanks guys for the feed back. Normally I rescue dogs but just this once, I want to start off with a very young puppy and train it myself. Like I did with my other dogs. (: I'm looking forward to getting a dog. So far, my boyfriend and I have been really into the BT. But we're also looking at other breeds such as German Shepherds, Corgi, and American Bulldog. My boyfriend's brother rescued an ABD and she is just the sweetest. Sadly though she is majorly dog aggressive... The reason why I'm not leaning towards them more is because to the common eye, a lot of ignorant people classify them as PB's... -_- And where I'm living, PB's aren't really welcomed. Though the BT is, strangely O.o lol (: I'll let you guys know more when we get closer to deciding. If we did get a pup, it would probably be around Christmas time!</span></span>
