In England our cars have to take an MOT test every year. Which basically ensures they are road worthy, and allows us to get them taxed and keep us legal etc.

So mine car has a habit of failing, its not a surprise when it does. I mean last year they failed it on the horn not working (among other things) but I had used it that day driving to the garage so dunno what horn they were trying to use XD

This year, it failed. Like I said not a surprise. So got it tested, then passed the paperwork onto dad (he was in the REME so quite a skilled mechanic) so we could order the right parts. Parts all arrived, to find out that the windscreen wiper was the wrong one. Keeping in mind that on the website you end your reg number and its meant to show you the right parts for your make/model of car.

Then whilst dad is attempting to remove the wheel bearing, it breaks getting stuck in the hub carrier x.x Take this part to a garage to use their fancy tools to extract it out. But whilst at the garage my dad's girlfriend ends up dropping the new wheel bearing where it cracks open and renders that one broken. So after work it is a mad dash to the car parts shop to get a new one. At which point dad says she's not to pay me back because apparently she was doing me a favour to take me to the garage at lunch to get it sorted. This annoyed me.

So from Saturday to Wednesday my car is on jacks, meaning I had no car that time. But on the Wednesday my dad finally gets all those parts fitted and out for a test drive. It creaks like hell, and he figures out what is causing that. This makes me happy. But means ordering more parts from the shop and waiting for them to arrive.

Saturday dad has all those extra parts fitted, so I can go off to get new tyres. When getting tyres fitted I get my tracking done, and turns out some rod was rusted so they couldn't do that. So had to get another garage to look at that. But that gets all sorted that day.

Monday! Today! My car was booked in for a retest, but on the drive to work a god damn stone the size of a plum bounces off my car out the back of the lorry. Putting a rather visible crack in the middle of my windscreen. This, by the way, is an automatic fail of the MOT test. Take it to the garage anyway, they say the other parts will now pass the test but will need the screen fixing before they can give me paperwork to confirm it. Insurance company arrange a guy to come fit it. He won't be out until THURSDAY. So this is after my allowed retest range. So will have to do the entire MOT test AGAIN.

Long story short I am so VERY unimpressed with my car right about now. I've nearly spent £1k on this damn thing in a month. And the git still needs fuel in its belly, which is another £50-60. And I had treated myself to a new stereo which I am now scared to put into the car as something is bound to go wrong.

-sadface- I almost feel like actually crying XD Stupid car.

Sorry its a bit of a wordy rant >.>
