How to?

How do I make money from home? I really need some extra spending money, and then need some, of course, if I am to buy one of the dog sims I play! Please name all of the possibilities that you can think of, and write how I get started in it. Thanks!

 • Uhh there really isn't much you can do in terms of that. That's why so many people go out and get an actual job. Most 'earn money' from home things online are a giant scam or you only earn like .50c for over an hour of work. The only real thing I can think of is selling your real items online on ebay or something. Other than that, you're better off finding an actual job or seeing if you can do anything for your family for extra cash.

 • Hm-if you're good at crafts making and selling things can be fairly lucrative-but honestly? probably make money much faster with a job...
 • I've got medical problems and I can't work unless it's at home, so I can tell you that there are options. (In fact, it's a little disappointing that others don't seem to think there are any.) If you are crafty, Etsy is a great place to sell things that you create, and there are a lot, A LOT of other online places to sell your work, too. eBay is nice if you have valuable junk around your home, things that you don't use anymore. Just be sure you do your research before you sell.

If you are good at programming, then there are work-at-home options. Those would be "real job" options, so if you don't have a degree or experience, it'd be difficult to snag a job like that. If you're social, you can make money blogging/vlogging and getting hooked up with advertisers. But it can take years to get a big enough following.

If you're a good writer, you can do some freelance writing. Again, there are several websites that are seeking these services. You could be writing articles, essays, all kinds of things. iStockPhoto, if you're into photography. You may or may not be able to make a lot of money there, depending on your skills and how popular your picture gets. It is possible to make quite a bit of money.

Really, I'm not sure I have enough information to recommend any websites for you.
If all else fails, you could get hooked up with doing those surveys and trials for money. Granted, its all very small amounts of money. I don't find it worth it, but I'm a busy girl, I don't have time for it. Your story might be different. :)

 • I knew of art commissions and etsy but didn't mention them because unless you are pretty good, the pieces you'd be selling won't be worth too much and it'd be very time consuming and probably not make much out of it.

Programming is a good one to mention but then again, you gotta know how to do it.

My main point is it's always better to find a real job if you are able to. Your circumstance is a little different Dramatic. I'm sure actual companies will hire you and let you do say.. data entry from your own home *shrugs* but that's different from finding a strictly online job, if you know what I mean.

 • Thanks for the replies :) I'm just a little too young to get a real job, plus I'm moving. I could charge for dog services I guess.

 • As Dramatic said there are some legitimate work at home options out there. In fact both me and my friend work at home, online but the site we work through requires you to be 18 or older. I've been working on there since Dec and my friend since Oct. It offers a lot of freelancing and contracting jobs for a lot of different things. Almost something for everyone on there. I just have a little side job where I get around $100 a week because I'm taking online college classes and don't have the time to dedicate to full time work. My friend however makes standard pay and actually got hired on full time for a company through using this web site. However it takes time to get started and just like any other job you have to dedicate yourself in order to move up. I actually got a raise not too long ago for my online job.

You mentioned being too young to get a real job mentioned dog services. Maybe you could walk dogs on the side or offer to be a dog sitter, around your neighborhood, depending on your age and circumstances.
