So, I found this..

DINOSAUR.

Okay, not really, it's a camera- BUT it's pretty old! Definitely something I'm looking forward to playing around with, and I wanted to share it to see if any of the photographers around here would know anything about it.

<a href="http://i1219.photobucket.com/albums/dd436/Frostbight8/A1E1A895-79CF-4664-990F-819F563DF08A-3021-0000025A6E9BAC44_zps6543ec82.jpg"; target="_blank" class="bb-url">The Dino

I stumbled upon it after I spent a good 10 minutes trying to get a good, focused shot of some buds on the tree with my iPod. My mother happened to notice, and sent me to the attic, only saying that "there was a camera up there somewhere". It took me a while, but I found it, along with a few albums of photos it has taken- it seems like an awesome camera! It does take film, which I've been informed is very expensive to have developed. I'm just so excited! Thoughts?

 • It looks beautiful! I collect old cameras, so that is fascinating to me haha. Film can get costly but if you save it for special pictures it can be fun. You just have to remember to focus it right each time (it looks like a manual focus) or it'll be a waste of film.
If you're serious about taking pictures with it though, I would reccomend getting your picture developed at costco if you have one, that's the cheapest I've seen for developing film.

 • Actually, it has a manual and automatic focus! It was on automatic at first but it turned out that I actually preferred the manual setting. I can't wait to get these developed, to see if they came out. Thanks for the info, I'm sure there is a Costco around here somewhere, I'll just have to locate it when the time comes. XD

 • I absolutely LOVE finding old undeveloped film! I get so excited to find out what photos are on there... you just don't get that feeling with digital cameras these days!
Also trying to perfect getting a good picture is incredibly fun, I could spend hours and hours trying.

These are <a href="http://i572.photobucket.com/albums/ss170/clozobozo/photo3.jpg"; target="_blank" class="bb-url">my two dino babies!
The Yashica is apparently rare but I've seen it being sold online for like $10 :\
The Nikon also has an external flash and another lens and omg, the darn thing is so confusing to work!

Enjoy film, it never gets old!
 • I have a Minolta x-700 and I absolutely love it! Film SLR cameras are so much fun to play around with. And the pictures that you can get with them are so amazing, you just have to know how to use it. I took a class last year where I learned how to develop film and it was a lot of fun!
