A very backwards practice.

So I've started my externships finally which is where I have disappeared to, lol. Right now it's for 6 weeks at this clinic and 6 weeks at another one. Well the clinic that I'm at now is a spay and neuter clinic that does 50-70 spays and neuter a day. Well when I first started it was overwhelming and what not because everyone is moving at a fast pace and trying to get things done. And it's weird because they want you to ask questions and what not so they can see that your interested. But I have no questions because I knew exactly what their doing and why their doing it. But the only problem I'm having right now is giving vaccines and microchips. They won't allow me to give a microchip but will allow me to give a rabies vaccine. Which is totally backwards to me because in school we would give microchips but not rabies. I would think microchips would be the most logical choice since almost anyone can give them. I would think rabies are the hardest since they have to be giving in a certain location. It's very confusing to me.
