Pleurisy, Bronchitis, Walking Pneumonia, Flu

edited February 2013 in General Discussion
So my pleurisy has developed into bronchitis, and walking pneumonia. There's also something my chiropractor said I have but I forget the name. Basically inbetween my ribs there is swelling and that's why no one can touch me right now. Thanks to er doctor who didn't give me any antibiotics. I now have an inhaler for breathing treatments due to low oxygen levels. My left lung isn't working correctly. The hubby says I sound like a walker from the walking dead when I try to breathe deeply or talk a lot. Then I'm on a steroid and antibiotic. Prednisone and Zpak then whatever's in the inhaler. If its not better by Friday I have to go get a chest X-ray done and may possibly be up in the hospital. I'm hoping that doesn't happen.

Anyone else had either bronchitis or walking pneumonia before?

Sorry for not being on the past few days. I wasn't moving from bed and it hurt to look at a computer screen. That at least seems to have cleared up. I think it was the head cold I had that was causing that.

 • Ouch. :(

I had bronchitis when I was younger. I don't remember much other than them telling me to get a lot of rest, really. I think I got over it fairly quickly though.

 • I'm hoping I get over it quickly. It's already been over 2 weeks since this started. Any activity makes it really bad so I'm just staying on the couch and not moving as much as possible.

 • :( I hope you feel better soon, Triss!

I had bronchitis when I was younger and I've had breathing issues since I was an infant due to a lung infection when I was a few months old. It's pretty much categorized as asthma which is mostly a nuisance to me.
Hope you're not in pain! Must really suck >.<

 • Thanks guys. I'm still in a lot of pain unfortunately. I go in on Monday for another chest x-ray to see what all is going on. Hopefully they figure it out and I'll be up and moving soon.
