Will You Be My Valentine?

On Valentine's Day, every child showed up with a bag of goodies to give to their friends. Everybody went home with a handful of candies, sweets, and handwritten notes. For one day, even "enemies" put aside their differences.<br><br>To some, Valentine's Day is just a Hallmark Holiday. Anxious shoppers line up in stores, purchasing various trinkets and flowers, hoping that they've found the perfect gift. Stores and seasonal attire blind you with vivid pink and red hues, tricking you into the holiday's spirit. Many humans use this as an excuse to lavish their fur-friends with toys, clothes, collars, and bows. However, there is one group of fur-friends who often don't get these spoils; shelter pets.<br><br>With APOD long gone, I got to wondering what next I could do. Something simple and effective for both communities. From there, this idea was born, and so it shall be.<br><br><br><span style="font-size:150"><span style="font-weight:bold">What is it?</span></span><br><br>Will You Be My Valentine will hopefully accomplish two things - activity amongst VPians and gifts for animals in need. How? By participating in this event, your nickname will be written on a Valentine heart. Each heart will represent one item that will be purchased to give to a local animal rescue. Why is your nickname written on the heart? All hearts will be included with the gift basket, so that the rescue staff can see everyone who cares!<br><br>At the end of the event, a photograph of the acquired items and hearts will be posted for you all to see. <br><br><br><br><span style="font-size:150"><span style="font-weight:bold">Valentine Bags</span></span><br><br>You are welcome to create your own bag, however all bag images must be 100x100, no bigger or smaller. I will offer basic bags with small alterations. You can gift to multiple players if you choose. The gifts do not have to be extravagant. When you have decided the player(s) you are giving to, and the gift(s) you are giving, you will send me a private message. On February 14th, I will update the bag post so everyone may see and claim their sweets!<br><br>You only have from February 7th through the 13th to figure out gift(s) and receiver(s) of said gift(s).<br><br>All participants will receive a gift from me, so everyone is guaranteed to receive something. All participants are also given a chance to win a sponsor goodie dye! This will be drawn at random. <br><br><br><br><span style="font-size:150"><span style="font-weight:bold">Participation</span></span><br><br>You will fill out the following form. If you would to make your own Valentine Bag, then you need not provide that section of the form. Otherwise, all information is required.<br><br>

<br><br><br><br><span style="font-size:150"><span style="font-weight:bold">Important Dates</span></span><br><br><span style="font-weight:bold">Entries Begin</span> January 26<br><span style="font-weight:bold">Entries Close</span> February 7<br><span style="font-weight:bold">Gift Submissions Start</span> February 7<br><span style="font-weight:bold">Gift Submissions End</span> February 13<br><span style="font-weight:bold">Gift Announcements & Celebration</span> February 14<br><br><br><span style="font-weight:bold">REMEMBER, in order to 'claim' your gifts and qualify for the dye draw, you MUST give out at least one gift to another player! Otherwise you are not entitled to any gift!</span><br><br><br><span style="font-size:150"><span style="font-weight:bold">All gifts must be finished within one months time, which means you must collect by March 14! If you do not collect by then, you forfeit your gifts!</span></span><br><br><br>If you have any questions, please feel free to ask!
