What is the difference in price for gifties, named and unnamed? Does it make a difference if the name is related to the color, or is everyone only interested in gifties they can name themselves?
Honestly, with gifties, names don't matter at all. I guess an unnamed dog could be a plus, but it wouldn't have anything to do with the price. What matters is how many dogs in the game possess that color, and the term we use to describe that is OAK. OAK stands for One of a Kind. So, the lower the OAK, the higher the price will be. For example, a 2 OAK dog can fetch say, 5 mill in an auction, while a 223 OAK may only fetch 200k. Another factor of the price is the color itself, and who it may appeal to. People are much more inclined to spend more money on an elaborate color rather than a color like, "Blue".
Thanks! That's helpful... I figured there wouldn't be much point in trying to sell a common color, and I believe the number to shoot for is 5oak or less (?)...

I guess I was just wondering, if I named the dog something that meant something to me if it would decrease the value. Also, am I correct in assuming rare breeds are more valuable? Like a 1oak Culpeo would be worth more than a 1oak Border Collie, or are all 1oaks just as special (not considering the appeal of the name)
