Speed Paint

Very nice! Keep practicing, you'll get to be very good at it! I've heard of speed painting, but don't have the guts to try it. Haha.

Wow looks fair good

i've never heard of speed painting before, sounds like fun. I recently did a drawing and painted it of me and my fiance, i think i'll have to do one of a band or something so I can show my style on here

Since it was pretty cartoon-like

Speed painting is Basicly painting something as fast as you can manage:) It's fun, because it challenges your speed and reaction time:) I suggest trying it, it's a good way to relax when you don't have much time.

haha i would if i could find my pen for my tablet... but i have no idea what i did with it... havent seen it in a few months which isnt fun lol

Aww that sucks! I lost my pen a while back and I ended up finding it in the couch.

haha, mine could be anywhere, literally... i cant remember where I last had it, I thought it was on my windowsill but its not... so I got no clue now, so its back to paper

I've found it now

Was hiding under my bed... im sure I looked down there, but no i didnt find it, had to move everything out from under it cause I'm getting a new bed after Christmas and there it was lol

actually I'm very fimiliar with speed painting and this is a great drawing don't get me wrong I love it but (since i have personal expierence and that I've made hundreds of speed paints of my own I should know) this is not a speed painting this is actually just a drawing ... an example of a real speed painting: search speed paint on y o u t u b e (utube) or look for craftedhands it's someone who's a user on y o u t u b e who does really great speed paints A speed painting is when someone records themselves drawing on the computer (recording with a computer program like quick time player or a camera) then they take the video and speed it up and then they will post it online I only know of speed paints on utube though "also most speed paints have music to" however if you draw offline and speed it up then post it online it's called a speed drawing

Actually you are not quite correct. Speed painting is completing a piece in a short specific amount of time. It is up to the artist whether or not to include a time lapse to showcase how fast they really did it. This is -optional- for speed paintings but highly highly popular because how else can they prove the time lapse and really show off the skill? "Speed painting is a method of painting typically done in a computer graphics program in a limited amount of time. This type of digital art is usually completed without a preliminary sketch and with only a general idea of the finished image's appearance. Artists who are successful at speed painting use established techniques of drawing applied to digital illustration. Some finished pieces of this computer art also include time-lapsed video capture of the process from beginning to end, and artists often use this option to showcase their speed painting skills on the Internet. A set time limit is one of the characteristics that sets speed painting apart. These limits can range from three to eight minutes on average for many experienced artists who consider themselves traditional speed painters. Some digital artists select one of their favorite songs and complete a painting in the time the song plays, and their subject matter is sometimes a portrait of the musician singing it. This type of speed painting is often considered a form of fan art." So this can count as a speed painting though it does not come with a video if she set a short time limit and drew this in that time. Its still done with 'speed' and it is a 'painting'.

I think you should practice at your own pace for awhile and try more speed paintings when you have a solid grasp on basics and being comfortable with the outcomes of your regular paced things. Thank you for sharing! I love looking at what people come up with ^^ -
