NaNoWriMo Anyone?

NaNoWriMo is National Novel Writing Month is anyone besides me crazy enough to participate? I'm being forced to do it for my creative writing class >.< I've tried to do it in the past but only got about 20,000 words in. Right now I'm right on target with how much I should be writing a day. I'm at about 6,700 words right now! So anyone else doing this? Have you done it in the past? How far have you gotten?

I've heard of it, but never been brave enough to officially participate. The novels I am working on have been in the works for years, so you can see why I would stick at the concept of writing one in a month. :P I love the concept, though...and am kinda wishing I was enrolled in a creative writing contest that forced me to participate. XD ...and now you've gotten me on their website, contemplating a late start. Thanks! :P

I kind of restarted on the 12th. So I've been going strong for a week now and am at 14k. Still half of what I should have, but if I keep writing at least 2500 words a day, I'll make it to 50k by the end of November! XD

I'm at a measly 19.5k words right now. Between work and appointments I don't see how I'm going to finish on schedule. (Unless I can hole up over my days off for Thanksgiving, haha.) But finish or not, this is a good experience for any writer.

Good to know I'm not the only one crazy enough to give it a shot! I'm a little bit behind because I was performing in Florida for a few days >.I'm going to try to type nonstop for the next two or three hours to see how much closer I can get to today's goal. Wish me luck!

I attended an overnight write in last night and got quite a bit done. I'm on 24k now and my plan, once I'm home and caught up on sleep, is to get as close to 30k as I can! At the moment I've gotta write just under 4k words a day to make it to 50k on time!!

My best friend and I are planning on doing a "Write-All-Nighter" soon

Our problem will be being able to focus long enough to get something done haha I have to write about 3,200 words each day to finish on time which isn't too bad. I'm hoping I can do it!

I've thrown in the towel for this year. Sitting at just under 25k with 5 days left. So not going to happen. XD Good luck to the two of you on getting to 50k!

I finished my novel a day late and 9,000 words short but I did pretty well considering I miss 6 day because I was in Florida! How'd everyone else do?

I didn't get even halfway. Work got the better of me.

24,988 words is all I got. Ah well, next year I will hopefully be better prepared!
