Thank you very much! I know it's a bit hard to see the husky, so I'm working on a few more to throw in. : ) Thinking about working with transparent backgrounds as well. So far, the fire and husky mix is a fun project!

I tried a few graphics myself but just couldn't come up with anything for the fire and husky myself lol. His name comes from an anime I like and has made for an interesting photo theme :]
 • Yes it has! I love working with manips, I'm not an expert yet and it's somewhat new still; however, the more practice the better. Oh, don't hesitate to say what you don't like on them either. That way I can get a better idea on what you're looking for. : ) Uploading a new one now, I gave this husky a fire mowhawk haha. I'm thinking about making the mask red vs. white, but I'll upload it as is for now.

 • Sounds interesting, can't wait to see it! I'm still leaning a lot with manips myself, I'm still very much an amateur with them lol.

Well I havn't yet been able to take classes, so everything I do is all self taught. Usually videos off the internet when I get the time. I've seen your stuff though and it's great! I can't wait to progress in digital art and photography. : ) Updated my post. Let me know what you think on that one? Size can always be changed, I stayed in the ballpark off 500x300. ( :

The new entry is awesome as well, makes me think of ghost rider  If I keep getting entries its going to shape up to a tough competition. And thank you for saying my stuff is great, I'm also self taught and just tend to be hands on with it. I have a friend who did take classes on photoshop and she is amazing though I've never had her show me anything lol. I'm still tinkering with GIMP and trying to learn more with it.
 • @ Boondox. What editor to you use? I don't think my pics would measure up to this, so I'm afraid I won't enter. Sorry!

I use GIMP as well, all the free programs. I can't wait until I get the money to actually buy photoshop! I've seen such amazing work in DevientART and would love to get to the point of "I can do anything with any pic and make it into anything". I saw this one manip with a white horse with wings laying on the beach with blood around it, it was amazing! Looked so real. That's my goal. : ) This will be a tough competition for sure! Now that you mention it, the husky mowhawk deffinatly reminds me of Ghost Rider as well. : D

Don't be afraid! It took me years to get an amature self taught photo in haha. I use all the free stuff and litterly bounce between all three for one photo. I use photoscape (highly recommened). Photoscape allows me to darken and alter many things including adding stamps, black and white, sepia, newsprint, and much much more. Photoscape is purly to enhance the photo and the possibilites are limitless.

Now for LAYERING, Paint.NET all the way. You can do amazing layering work with simple instructions and play with the transparency and different styles. Paint.NET is a huge necessity for my work. Huge.

Finally, GIMP is my finisher. I crop and resize my images there, add color, layer, and much more. I'm still getting familer with GIMP. There's many "filters" that allow all kinds of alterations for photos. : )

If you have any questions, youtube will answer all of them and just go step by step on videos until you can memorize it. I'm interested in seeing where you're at on photo editing, so please enter this competition! No one was willing to help me out when I first got into it, but I am so happy with where I'm at. I also look at other players/peoples work and see where and what I need to improve on. I hope this helps, patience is the key! : )

Thank you very much for the compliments and excuse the typos ^.^

@Svenska Like Boondox said don't be afraid to enter, all levels of artists are welcome  I too took quite a while to get where I am with my graphics and I still have a lot to learn.

@Boondox I may have to try some of the free ones you suggested. I use GIMP and the editing tools on Photobucket but that's it lol
 • Deffinatly get photoscape, that's how I do a lot of editing and the filter system is almost as good as GIMP, but far less complicated. I litterly use up to four different programs, due to each one having unique additions. : ) Just google them and explore away! I wish I could get some art downloads, but I work off a laptop so details are hard to do since I don't have a mouse and even with the mouse it's hard to steady it out.
