I'm about to have a break down...

I let my boy out this morning and next thing I know, he's gone!! My yard is surrounded by a six foot wall, I don't know how he just disappeared. The gate was locked. I keep a pad lock on it AT ALL TIMES. I left him outside for about ten minutes before I went to let him in and saw he was gone. I've already put up hundreds of signs and called the pound, I even posted on some websites. So far I've gotten three people calling about supposedly seeing him (60 miles from here!!), and one guy emailing me asking me to buy his dog. I don't want another dog I want to know where the hell mine went!!! I've been around the area (and beyond) for almost ten hours now. I will continue my search in the morning. Until then all I can do is hope someone finds him or that he comes home. And try not to have a break down by stalking vp peoples.

Oh no this is not good at all and I'm so sorry to hear. I hope you find him ASAP. My boy Koopa went missing for a day once and I had a melt down, had all kinds of scenarios running through my mind. Turns out his ornery butt was under the porch the whole time sleeping >_< He just wouldn't come out when we called and you can't see under there. I really hope you find your boy soon and all is ok when you do. though it doesn't help my thoughts are with you -Para

It actually does help. Knowing that some lost dog stories have happy endings is comforting. Kujo is smart. He wont let anything bad happen to him. Im pretty sure. It's just other people im afraid of. He can be aggressive and not everyone understands it or why. The pound definitely doesn't understand. He'll be put to sleep for sure if he ends up there. I just have to keep hoping i guess. Thank you.

Yeah I understand where you're coming from there. Koopa isn't aggressive but just because of his breed I was worried. I know how some people react to pit bulls and it had me terrified. He's actually a big baby and will go with anyone, especially for a car ride so I was afraid someone would take him and you never know what they plan to do with a pit bull

Its a very scary time for sure. Here's hoping Kujo turns up soon and all is well. Hopefully he's somewhere close by. Keep me updated because i really hope to hear good news and soon.

Kujojojo is missing!?? O.o I'm so sorry Moonie. He probably hopped the fence, huh? He's got the muscle to do it. He probably just went for a romp and will come home to his mommy soon.

Hope I find him tho but on animal planet there's a dog that jumps a 8 foot fence every day by climbing it so maybe he climbed or dug also look for paw prints and people foot prints just incase:/

Thank you. I understand that dogs can jump higher then 6 feet, but I know Kujo and he's never been a jumper. Or a digger. I checked the yard atleast 50 times since he went missing. Nothing is out of place. Nobody could have gotten into my yard to take him because 1. My gate is permanently locked and 2. Kujo would rip apart any intruder that broke into our yard. I know he would because he's done it before. There is NO WAY someone got in and was able to get my dog. I would believe that he jumped a 20 foot fence before I believed that he was taken. Plus I would've heard Kujo attacking / snarling - he's very vocal when upset. It's all got me stumped. Thanks for the support though, you guys. It's helping.

I understand what you are going through. My Jake got loose from the baseball fields one night that we were playing at and she ran out through traffic and we could not find her for 3-4 hours. We FINALLY had to give up because it was like 11 PM and to dark to see a black dog. When we went back to the park to get our stuff we left, she was laying there in the dugout bench. She wagged her tail and looked at me like "why were you gone so long and why are you so wet with salty water?" I pray the best for you!

UPDATE: (Sorry I haven't been online till now. I was busy.

) Here's the complete update: Day 2: -Searched for nearly 12 hours. From morning till night. NOTHING. Day 3: -After spending every hour of my day and night searching for my boy, I got a phone call from a guy claiming that he had Kujo. The man described the dog he had as a "big pitbull with odd coloring and very snappy". I thought that he was describing Kujo for sure. So I drove for two hours to the home of a strange dude that was expecting a reward - only to find out that not only was the dog NOT my Kujo, but it was also a TINY FEMALE!! I wanted to scream at him and aware him of the fact that he is an idiot. I drove back to my town and searched until I finally had my break down and started crying so much, I couldn't even see enough to continue searching. Still NOTHING. Day 4: (TODAY) -Woke up at 3am. Left home and called for Kujo for about five hours. Came back home feeling defeated. Checked my email for any news on him. Called the dog pound. Called my neighbours to see if they had seen him yet. Stalked around the house worrying about him. Went out to search again. Came home feeling even worse. 1 hour ago: (TODAY) -I was just about to force myself to eat something when I heard someone outside yelling my name. I look out the window to see my friend ON TOP of his truck screaming because Kujo was climbing up the hood to get him! It was both a terrifying and very happy moment. XD I called Kujo through the window and he immediately stopped attacking, jumped off of the truck, and ran to the house. Ever since I let Kujo back in he hasn't left my side AT ALL. Luckily Ryan wasnt bitten. He told me he was just about to knock on my door when Kujo came out from around the side of the house and charged after him. Thank goodness it wasn't someone else. I still don't know how Kujo got out in the first place, so I will definitely be watching him when he goes out from now on. I have no idea where he went, what he's been through, or how he survived this week. I'm just overwhelmingly happy he's home (although when he first got home I wanted to fight him for making me worry so much). :D

LMAO!! I can picture it. Ryan screaming like a girl while Kujo goes to work on him and his truck. Hah! I'm sorry for what you've been through mooniepie. But thank gosh your baby is home. It sounds exactly like Kujojo to get out, disappear, but somehow still be there to defend you and the house.

@Para - Im giving him all the attention I can! xD I let him out back for the first time an hour ago, while I secretly watched to see where he went. Low and behold, he jumped up and flew right over my 6 foot fence effortlessly. He didn't climb. Just... soared right over. Like he's been doing it for years! Luckily he jumped right back into the yard after about two seconds of being out on the street again. xD I guess some of you were right. Kujo has learned how to jump (/fly), and will now be CHAINED when out back. @Cherokee, looks like you and i have the same sense of humor! Once Ryan stopped screaming i started laughing my ass off as well. XD

Wonder why he's decided to start jumping the fence all of a sudden. If my boy wanted to he could probably jump a 6ft fence too but he is far to lazy haha. Sadly I don't have a fenced in yard where I live right now so Koopa is on lead when he's outside most of the time. We can and do let him off lead but he's always supervised since there's no fence. when we move a fenced in yard is on the top of my list.

Nah. When Para mentioned what happened to Koopa I checked around the house AND under it EVERY night. He comes immediately when called and wouldn't have been hiding from me. Especially when i went outside yesterday and started screaming for him as if I was being murdered (he comes running like a mad bull when I scream, so i tried doing that, hoping wherever he was he would hear and come running home). XD I think Kujo got home only a few seconds before Ryan pulled up, hopped into the back yard and was waiting for me, but then jumped back over when he heard Ryan knocking... therefore looking as though he came from around the side of the house when he really came from the back yard and over the wall. Atleast I think thats what happened. Kujojo isn't telling me though. XD

I wonder what he was doing the whole time he was gone. Is he neutered? If not there may be little Kujos on the way lol would also explain why he decided to hop the fence

Awz. Thank you! Its great to have others like him and his personality for a change. XD Usually all we see in people is fear and nothing but. Unfortunately Kujo's been going mad these last few days! I put him on the only chain I had and he wound up breaking it into pieces. He DOES NOT like feeling limited in his own territory. So I got rid of the chain idea and got him a heavy duty collar which has the ability to tell me where he is and when. It was more expensive then any piece of clothing I own, thats for sure. -_- But i'm willing to dish out any amount of cash for my boy. He tried jumping the wall ONE more time and the collar started going crazy with beeping. I was able to follow him easily. He headed straight towards my neighbours porch and ate all of her cat's food!! My dog is such a lard ass.
