Wow...that is all I can say. I am absolutely disgusted with some people. The lady we got her from lied to us. The dog was found by her and she gave it to us. My boyfriend found a flyer around the area where we met the lady and the actual dog owner has been looking for her for a while.

We called the number and took her to her real home. I am so disappointed but we can see her anytime we want. Broke my heart when I read the flyer but knew it would not be right to keep her.

On the bright side she is not pregnant nor has she even been in heat. She is just going to be turning 7 months. They said they may breed her in a few years so we may be able to get a pup.

At least we can still see her though and let the dogs play with her. Still kills me though that someone would do that. :'[

  • 7 months old? Please, PLEASE take her in for a spay right away.
  • Well the owner said she was in heat so we are just watching her. Plus we have no male dogs and never leave our dogs out.

Yes I know there is still a risk but i am responsible enough to keep her safe.
  • If she's pregnant at only 7 months old you're risking her life by letting her have the puppies.
  • IF she is pregnant then she is close to delivering. I have an excellent vet that will see to her.
  • Well, good luck. I'd take her in tomorrow to get your vet's opinion. Babies should not be having babies. It really would be best for her to get a spay/abort if she is pregnant. But who am I? I'm not a vet.

You're going to have your hands full with all these puppies! How many dogs do you have now? Just the three?
  • First heat doesn't usually occur until 6 months or later, so she'd be not quite halfway through a pregnancy, taking that into consideration I'm kind of agreeing with Zagari here :P And besides the risk to her life, the fact that you have no idea the health, personality, etc of the potential father(s), also consider that it would be cheaper to have her spayed now than end up with up to 15 puppies that you then have to feed, vet, and find homes for :P

That being said, she certainly is gorgeous. Although a house with 3 young dogs and a kitten can quickly turn into a madhouse lol

  • Well thankfully all dogs and the cat get along. Plus we have our own home and no kids and its a two bedroom and all dogs are crate trained and walk well on a leash now. Kayhlan was a little rough at first be she gets it now. Kayhlan has a spay appointment soon and we are getting Fable's done if we can find a good anesthetic(sp) that she is not alergic to.
  • Good news Yumah will be getting an ultra sound Friday xD

Hopefully she will not be pregnant. Plus we can get her vaccinated.
  • Adorable! I hope she's not pregnant.. that would be so sad. It makes me sick that pregnancy is even a possibility. Like Zag said, babies shouldn't be having babies. :/
Goodbye old VP, hello disaster. xD
  • I heard that you can use a human pregnancy test to see if your dog is pregnant. So I don't know if that would work, lol.

But she is a gorgeous dog and I wish you all the luck!
