Alright, so I'm generally curious. I know there are a lot of eventers out there in VP but I'm curious, which events do you guys show in the most? Do you guys show in more then one events or do you have specialized dogs for certain events? I mean, I know how I event.. But I've never ever asked how other's show their own dogs. (: 1. What event do you think you show your dog/s in the most? 2. Which event/s do you want to excel at (if you haven't already)? 3. How many eventing dogs do you guys currently have right now that are active showers? 4. If you have a role model eventer or dog, who is it? (if you want to say, you don't have to) It'd be awesome to get as many voices as possible. This has been on my mind a lot lately. I always watch events and eventers but I wanna hear from all you what you guys do or think! (:

I love eventing - I just don't have as much time to do it as I used to! But here are some of my answers: 1. What event do you think you show your dog/s in the most? I have different breeds for different events. I just try them out and then event them were I think they do the best. The only events I just can't seem to get good results in are agility even though I have Papillons, conformation, and dock jump. 2. Which event/s do you want to excel at (if you haven't already)? Mushing and flyball are my favs. But honestly, I love any event that my dogs do well in. 3. How many eventing dogs do you guys currently have right now that are active showers? About 51 4. If you have a role model eventer or dog, who is it? (if you want to say, you don't have to) My flyball labs are doing the best right now. They are 2.6 years and at National (8743)

1. What event do you think you show your dog/s in the most? It used to be herding, and will be again someday when it scores correctly. I still event in herding, but I've drifted towards Flyball and other sporting events. 2. Which event/s do you want to excel at (if you haven't already)? I'd like to start seeing my dogs do better in herding, but I've always wanted a good Schutzhund dog. 3. How many eventing dogs do you guys currently have right now that are active showers? 10, 4 in herding, 4 in sporting, 2 in obedience. 4. If you have a role model eventer or dog, who is it? I always looked up to Nickel, and the dog who was my role model is <a href="http://virtualpups.com/index.php?r=dog/view&id=553961&view=1"; target="_blank" class="bb-url">Smartys Native Magic.</a> Originally shown by Baphomet. I bought him from a rescue a while back.

1. What event do you think you show your dog/s in the most? It mainly depends on the class and stats of the dog, but I would say Agility is what I usually do the most because of the classes I work with, most dogs do well.(I am currently working with GSP's, Huskies, Pharaoh Hound, and Greyhounds) 2. Which event/s do you want to excel at (if you haven't already)? I am currently working on excelling in Mushing, Hunting, and Dock Jumping, so I hope all goes well:) 3. 1. What event do you think you show your dog/s in the most? It used to be Weight Pull, but I've been in Racing a lot more recently. 2. Which event/s do you want to excel at (if you haven't already)? I'd love to get big into Agility and Dock Jumping, because those are the RL dog sports that interest me the most and I would do with my dog if I had the chance (nevermind that he wouldn't jump off a dock to save his life, lol.) 3. How many eventing dogs do you guys currently have right now that are active showers? Erm, 11 I think. 4. If you have a role model eventer or dog, who is it? (if you want to say, you don't have to) Can't say I do. xP

1. What event do you think you show your dog/s in the most? Probably dock jumping or obedience(when there are obedience events, anyway). I use my old line dogs to get me some fame in their remaining years/weeks. XDD Sometimes they do well though! (: 2. Which event/s do you want to excel at (if you haven't already)? I'd love to excel at racing and obedience. 3. How many eventing dogs do you guys currently have right now that are active showers? Probably 5? 4. If you have a role model eventer or dog, who is it? 1. What event do you think you show your dog/s in the most? None in specific. Probably sporting type events just because there seems to be more of them than any others. 2. Which event/s do you want to excel at (if you haven't already)? All of them, of course! lol But in all seriousness, I don't really try. I just pick dogs that I have laying around and event them. They can be imports, 10x4s, etc. 3. How many eventing dogs do you guys currently have right now that are active showers? I have 13 dogs that are currently active. Four working type, four herding type, four sporting, and one weight pull dog. 4. If you have a role model eventer or dog, who is it? (if you want to say, you don't have to) I just retired my best competition dog ever. She was a rescue that I picked up with no showing at all. However, she had well over 1000 adapt/courage. I know that's not supposed to effect anything anymore but I think it does. She made it to #17 on the Top Dogs List. She's currently setting at #13 on the Retired Top Dogs List. I can only hope to have more like her and and better!

1. What event do you think you show your dog/s in the most? -Conformation is currently what I'm in love with, but I used to compete solely in Weight Pull / Schutzhund events. 2. Which event/s do you want to excel in (if you haven't already)? -I would like to do really well in Schutzhund again; but I'm only interested if i'm competing with one of my Tosas. Unfortunately, Tosa Inus only do well in three sports; and Schutzhund isn't one of them. xD 3. How many eventing dogs do you currently have right now that are active showers? -I have hundreds of great competitors just sitting around in my kennel; but I'm only actively eventing -one- right now.

At other times, when I am focused on multiple eventers, I'll avidly compete around 30 of them at a time. 4. If you have a role model eventer or dog, who is it? -My best dog is a conformation rescue. I got her from an inactive kennel a few months ago and i've been obsessed ever since. When I compete with her I don't just hope to win I EXPECT to. xD I can't say I have a role model eventer, though. Nobody taught me how to compete, and honestly I don't even keep up with who's best at what or which dog belongs to whom, so I wouldn't know who to make my role model anyway. xD

It's really interesting to see what others like to do eventing wise (: I forgot to fill my own forum out when I made this thread XD Might as well. 1. What event do you think you show your dog/s in the most? Right now, I currently mainly show in five types, Agility, Dock Jumping, Herding, Cattle Herd, and Schutzhund. 2. Which event/s do you want to excel at (if you haven't already)? I do pretty well in Herding but I want to dominate it. I also want to rock at Hunting and Dock Jumping. I've always competed in Dock Jumping with my labs and borders. 3. How many eventing dogs do you guys currently have right now that are active showers? Eight right now. Four sporting and four working/Obedience. Sometimes I show 12 which the extra four would be for Mushing. But they're taking a little break. 4. If you have a role model eventer or dog, who is it? (if you want to say, you don't have to) Oh goodness. First off, Zag has always been my inspiration when it comes to top kennel. As far as breeding/training the best dogs to dominate, I would say Nickel but since they're not as active, Sim. And I don't even show in the same events as Sim but I admire her dogs and how they excel at what she wants them too. Frost has always been my secret competitor when it came to Herding. I remember that's all we used to talk about. Meeko and their trophy pups when it comes to sporting events are always on my list to beat (in a good way haha) As far as favorite dog, <a href="http://virtualpups.com/index.php?r=dog/view&id=1168491"; target="_blank" class="bb-url">MBD Max</a>. Fly recently let me purchase a pup from him and I was so excited! I'm waiting for my current sporting group to retire and then I shall show my new pup! :twisted: So I don't really just have one admire. I have many for different reasons haha. And thanks Dreamers! 1. What event do you think you show your dog/s in the most? I focus a lot on the mushing events. I actually like 4 team mushing but also compete in 2 team and solo. 2. Which event/s do you want to excel at (if you haven't already)? I'm not sure i really excel at any but I usually do place well in mushing. Its not uncommon for my dogs to place in the top 3. 3. How many eventing dogs do you guys currently have right now that are active showers? Right now I have 12 active eventers but have had up to 18 active evetners. 4. If you have a role model eventer or dog, who is it? (if you want to say, you don't have to) Hmmmm can't say I do at the moment.

How many eventing dogs do you guys currently have right now that are active showers? -I have 4 weight pullers.. not active right now as I am busy with other things, but I will start showing them again soon! 4. If you have a role model eventer or dog, who is it? (if you want to say, you don't have to) -I remember one time when I didn't have the best weight puller but she was pretty good and placed 1-3 a lot of the time and then Az starting showing a weight puller too and basically dominated mine xD So that inspired me to try and get the highest Birth strength Neapolitan Mastiff's one day

How many eventing dogs do you guys currently have right now that are active showers? 20+ 4. If you have a role model eventer or dog, who is it (if you want to say, you don't have to)? I used to have an APBT that I bred out of my lines (I started with other people's 8x4), she was a 10x4, stat and skill maxed with over 800 in A/C and aggression caps. Sadly, when VP had the big crash she was deleted.

I want to get back into Flyball and maybe get a good herding dog. 3. How many eventing dogs do you guys currently have right now that are active showers? Too many to count, hows that work? 4. If you have a role model eventer or dog, who is it? (if you want to say, you don't have to) My three boiis on the Top Dogs List, I always wanted to get a dog to number 1, and wow what a shock, three of my dogs have made it, each being number one at one point, MBD Fog, MBD Joshua, and MBD Max made it, they ketp me at showing ever since.

Awhhhh BOBBEH!

I love breeding dogs to dominate. I kinda disappeared from the eventing scene for a while when some stuff was happening in RL. But I'm trying to get back into by figuring out which breeds are going to be killers. & trying to pick the less popular breeds to sneak up on people with. hehehehehe. 1. What event do you think you show your dog/s in the most? It used to be Racing, and I plan on getting back into it very soon. I have a breed lined up for Weight Pulling already so I'll be looking to dominate there again too. xD 2. Which event/s do you want to excel at (if you haven't already)? I've always failed at herding/cattle herding dogs. And it's bugged me immensely. Once I have dogs for my normal events going, I'll start to work on herding dogs. 3. How many eventing dogs do you guys currently have right now that are active showers? 1 as of right now. Shall have 3 in about an hour. ;D 4. If you have a role model eventer or dog, who is it? I never really looked up to anyone or any dog for my eventing. I really just wanted to dominate as much of VP as I could.. which thinking back to that now. Seems utterly ridiculous. Hahahaha. I've noticed that Fly and Nacie seem to be the ones to beat. Right now I'm figuring out how to beat Nacie's ridiculous Werewolf Mushers!
