Can you breed for courage?

I just bred a couple of dogs with courage around (144) each. The highest they produced was a (145.6), the rest were around (140). Then I bred another pair around (140) and all their puppies were around (134). So, it seems to me that courage has a mind of it's own! Can it even be improved through breeding?

I know that if you breed two high A/C dogs together, their courage is higher, but tracking down a couple of high A/C dogs after all I've spent, isn't something I'm very keen on.

 • You can breed to raise any stat you choose. There is nothing to hold stats back from being raised -- it all just depends upon the amount of effort you're willing to put into it. Stats can be any variety of range, unfortunately.

Obviously if you bought rotted high A/C dogs and bred them, you would raise the stats immediately, but a long term breeding project could produce better results versus waiting on the slow increases of a boarding kennel. If you were dedicated though, you could raise the courage stat well above the (145.6) you've gotten so far.
