• I don't have any major goals left, at least pertaining to lines. I'd like to eventually start and finish my third personal breed, the Gryphalhawk, as they've been sitting untouched/unnamed for at least a month, if not two months, now.

Otherwise my goals are cosmetically based (dyes). I have plans to create a 40+ 'Classics' color collection, 6 or so more TV color sets, a 'California taste' color set, and some other various set ideas. I've already completed a 10 color CSI set and a 5 color Burn Notice set. I've got 2 of the Classics collection (Black Beauty and Ginger), and I have 1 of my Fairly Legal set (Ben). :D When I'm done with all my sets, the invested USD value will be between $670 and $1,200. e.e

    On an indefinite hiatus.
  • I have shown 35 International show dogs. There are more on the way and at least two of them will be in the next few days.
I have bred the first 10x4 of 12 breeds but I'm most proud of my American Pit Bull Terriers.
I'm also the #1 kennel on VP, as far as fame goes.

As far as goals go, I'd like to finish my Toy Poodles and Am Staffs. However, I do no see either of them getting done any time soon. The Am Staffs will probably never get to 10x4. I'm also working on a couple smaller lines but they aren't much better than the other two.
I guess I'd also like to get more International dogs as well.
  • Jeeze Zag.. leave some goals for other players to accomplish! lol xD First of 12?? Goodness...

I -only- want to finish my Tosa Inu line, to get the first 10x4s. I've gotten the first 8-9x4s, which was a great time; but when I got those 9x4s I realized just how much of an ass this line would be to me. Hyper -will not- cooperate. (Not that it ever does on Bully breeds). The fact that getting 10x4s will take a lot of work combined with the fact that I just don't have the time right now is making my short term goal look like it's actually going to be a really long term thing. I mean, it's been almost a year, && no matter how many people offer I refuse to let anyone finish what I started! D:

-Hides in embarrassment-

I do have high hopes for this summer though. I could reach mah goal in the next.. two months.. xD

-Laughs at my time guesstimate-
Goodbye old VP, hello disaster. xD
  • It took me at LEAST a year to get my Maltese to 10x4. Stupid hyper! Stupid me for chosing a toy for my first line xD but my soul dog is half maltese.
  • Kitt your short term goal made me cringe! Id never try it in a thousand years and i'd take me THAT long just to get it done!!

It makes me cringe too. xD

Yay! Im not the only one! xD The Tosas were my first too. I knew they were going to be unnecessarily difficult as well; but like you my soul was a Tosa at the time I first started my line. <3 Now that he's gone it just isn't an option to not complete the line. The first 10x4 I get is going to be named after him and goodie dyed. He'll be one of a kind.

-(I can dream...)

P.S. What's the other half? O.o

  • I have this plan to ensure that he is the ONLY 10x4 Tosa on VP -EVER-. He cant be bred. He'll be -that- special. xD

She's a black and white malese/rat terrier i got when i was 10. She's my child. She sleeps with me and follows me around everywhere. She's my guardian. One time i was outside when it what thundering (which she is scared terribly of) and she literally got my mom and made her take her to where i was even though it was storming. Otherwise she NEVER goes outside with loud noises.

Evil. >:D

I'm thinking of making another breed... Call me crazy, but I made a breed in honor of Clover (and her brother Duke) and it just doesn't feel right if I don't do something for Whiskey. xD
  • The only problem Zinda is that someone else can work with the dogs and get their own 10x4's. However you can make it extremely difficult on them!
  • Vamp - How precious. I know how you feel. My child just happens to weigh more then a hundred pounds and makes sleeping/following a hassle. xD She's saved me so many times as well, I feel in debt. The one that will run through a storm for you is definitely special. c: How old is she? && that's my plan! To make things difficult... VPC is also a handy weapon.

Kitt - That's not crazy! :D I'm glad my dog's aren't mixed so I don't have to make my own personal breeds too. xD If my boy had been a mix I definitely would've created his breed though; and it would have been worth every penny. I'd say go for it. Personal breeds are like, the ultimate goodie. Your dogs will be -that- special. xD

Yeah... But what are you supposed to name an American Bulldog/GSD/Boxer mix?
  • She's.... 8 or 9 now. If im not mistaken she was born in 2003?? Somewhere around there. She even growls at people who barge into my room when im asleep. She growled at my brother who she's terrified of normally. She's definitally the kind of girl who would protect me in a pinch but otherwise she's super sweet and smart as heck. She knows a LOT of commands and little kids love learning how to cue her and we even started agility a while back until the place we were going too hit hard times. She was farther along in one lesson than the puppies that had been doing this for two or three months were. She literally took me to the teeter totter first thing and wanted to play on it and my intructor asked me if i had ever worked with her on it before because most dogs HATED it. She also jumped a string of six jumps at exhibition height in her first lesson within the first 5 minutes. If she was still completely young and full of energy i might try to take it up with her again but she has calmed down a lot in the last few years and we were only doing it to channel her energy and give us somethin to play with. Id love to try it with my border collie though! He' d be great at it!

Kitt - Germarican Boxer ;D

  • Or American Boxing Shepherd.. XD

  • Vamp: My Laru isnt a -growl at people- dog, more of a -I will rip your hands off without warning if you touch my mommy- kinda dog. I've had to work with her on that. I can only imagine what would happen to a person that -barged- into my room. I have no doubt in my mind that any of my K9's would protect me. They're trained to do it correctly, and are just extremely protective naturally. It's awesome that your girl is corageous despite her breeds size. :D My roommate's Rat Terrier that rarely ever slept with me would growl at anyone that came in while I was asleep. The breed is feisty. xD My 17 year old APBT loved agility until the day he died. Giving a dog something to do makes them live longer I think. :D Lala competes in Weight pull and Schutzhund mainly, but she's done agility. I teach my own class. I would be surprised too if a first timer walked in and started doing a course! You're definitely right when it comes to the teeter. None of my dogs are specifically fond of the teeter, but im obsessed with teaching them words and commands. They know so much my friends and family -talk- to them, and I have been accused of teaching them to comprehend the English language.. now we're just waiting for one of them to speak! Hah. xD You should definitely take up a course with your BC. If you have the time. Borders are perfect for it of course. According to what I THINK I have seen on the forums, you compete w/ your horses already though.. right?

Kitt: Combining everyones it's: German American Bull Boxing Shepherd.. or American Bull Boxing German Shepherd.

lol There are people out there who have gotten more 10x4s than me! But considering I only seriously started doing lines at the end of last year, I'm quite proud. Let's see, Irish Terrier, American Pit Bull Terrier, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Standard Poodle, Standard Schnauzer, Bluetick Coonhound, Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier, American Bully, Belgian Laekenois, Redbone Coonhound, Catalburun Dog, and English Coonhound in that order! If anyone is really interested, you can go to my rescue kennel and read all the names/links to all my international dogs and my 10x4 breed firsts (which are under the "Gifties" tab). You can also see all the gifties created by me.

4 I think. I usually breed 4-5 and then retire the line. So I have no more. Yep, just checked. There's only 4.
  • I don't think I really have to tell people what my goal is. It's pretty obvious. I think theres about 30-40 in there still. Hahaha I can't wait till I get my proper internet so I can just train the bageebers out of them all. Then I'll be flying through the 10x4s! ;D

Yes i do. Not anything big and fancy. I've placed up to fifth in state level with horses and even first in district level. I dont do any breed shows however because i dont have a trainer or even take lessons. Everything i do towards riding is through my own daily work. Which makes me quite proud of what my horses have acheived.
My girl scout understands words too. I talk to her like a real person and i SWEAR she understands. I've had friends tell me they have a hard time remembering she is a dog because she has facial expressions like a human and can interact like a human would when you talk to her. She's amazing at reading body language too. She can see me putting on my walking shoes and knows were going for a walk before i even head to the door but if im putting on my boots she knows were going down to see the horses. She waits at the door to be invited in and waits for you to invite her to sit on the couch with you. She can even read my eyes. She can be sitting there waiting for permission to sit with me and i can look at her and she will know whether she's allowed or not by seeing me. She's DEFINITALLY my soul dog though i do love my Border. It's just Scout lives inside and my border would rather stay outside with the other dogs. (as im typing this Scout LITERALLY just opened the door and walked in xD)
  • Thats how I feel about my dogs. No help with training. Just my work. You -should definitely be proud. I sure as heck am. Only two of my dogs prefer to be inside, the rest love being outdoors, so they have free roam. All of my dogs are my babies, i've loved every single dog i've owned of course.. but they can't all be Laru. xD I think it's okay to play favorites as long as the dogs don't notice. :D Lala will not move unless I tell her to. Even if im going to the door, she simply waits until i tell her she can do otherwise. Then she'll kindly go get her leash and harness for me if I say she's going. If not, she wont step foot out that door. She comprehends enough for me to tell her what i want, and to get it without trouble and without help. Usually it's nothing important.. like a book or bag of something, but once, during one of my famous panick attacks, she ran into the house, got into the drawer herself, and got me my meds. xD When she first came outside with the medicine I originally thought she was -eating it, not bringing it to me.. so I freaked out more. xD Now a days she knows when an attack is coming before I even do. And if I get one of my dizzying pass out headaches, she's there to let me lean all my weight on her, and has -never- let me fall. Not ever. The way Scout reads your eyes is the way Laru reads me. She knows pain, happiness, anger. And she knows that I can have a smile on my face but still have the worst body pains. The most amazing part is that she knows how to deal with it all. I guess everyone has / has had that one special dog at some point. The one that can't be replaced. I only wish my dogs could live as long as me. -__o The life span of a dog sure is short for man's best friend, dont you think?
Goodbye old VP, hello disaster. xD
  • I agree. My worst nightmares are the ones where she dies. I feel as if she'll live forever though i know it woulnt happen. I just cant see my life without her. It especially scares me that she's getting as far up in years that she is. My mom has been taking about letting her have puppies so that i can keep one to remind me of her. Im not sure if i wanna do that or not. Yea id be fun to have a puppy from her and i KNOW she'd be a good mom but with her age i dont know if she'd be well off having a litter. Plus no matter if its her puppy or not itll never BE her. Plus what will i do with the other puppies?? I think id just like to get a maltese after she''d gone. From what ive read on the breed she has their personality to a t. I'd really like to get one and show it in agility and conformation.
  • Getting another dog after the death of one you really loved is healthy I believe. Wards the depression off, gives you something else to focus on. When the very first Tosa I ever owned died, I was absolutely heart broken. It felt like I couldn't breathe for the first few months. Luckily I had bred Bully to his life long mate just before he passed. The only thing that really helped when he was gone was seeing his puppy's face every day. They look so much alike, it's ridiculous. I catch myself thinking that Bully is still alive and right next to me when it's actually his son. It's kinda therapeutic in a way. For me, seeing the 'clone' of my deceased dog actually helps rather then hurts. Even though it's not really my Bully im seeing, atleast it's a -part- of him. Everyone's different, though. I know a lot of people that cant stand seeing their dead dog's puppies because they burst into tears every time. My uncle being one of those people. : /

The Maltese idea is a good one. Having a puppy to competition train is very distracting, and competing is one of the best owner / dog bonding experiences. I would definitely go with this choice if you're uncomfortable about the pregnancy thing. I used to be overwhelmed with nightmares of my Laru dying. In fact, just this morning (in my last post) I was saying that I want my dogs to live longer. But after reading this quote today:

("The misery of keeping a dog is his dying so soon. But, to be sure, if he lived for fifty years and then died, what would become of me?")

I realized that i'm damn grateful for the fact that dogs don't live for -fifty- years THEN die on us. That would be torture, imo. : /
Goodbye old VP, hello disaster. xD
  • My goal is to be the first to get a 10x4 Finnish Spitz (which has already been accomplished) and a 10x4 Bloodhound (currently at 9x4). After that, I think I'll be done with VP :| lol
    83ued_zps40542328.png
  • My goal is to achieve the first 10x4 Cane Corso and get the male up to international in showing, then stud him. I will be starting my lines VERY soon and can not wait (:
