I think the issue was more that it was May. For most people who attend school, May is a particularly busy month. So I think a month would be more efficient in such months such as summer months,etc.
Procrastination doesn't help.. "Oh, I can start this next week." "Oh, that's is far away. I have time!" And before you know it, there is no time. A month is plenty of time, but I also agree that May is a pretty busy month. Maybe include a very strong recommendation to start immeadiately. XD
I agree with the others, i think a month was plenty of time. I starred practically the day I entered, which was a few days after it was announced. I finished 2 lines and crossed them together, but I was still very new at lines and didn't do long grooms so really it was more like doing a single line. Also like others said may is busy for a lot of students. <br><br>Maybe have sign up for the event last 2 weeks or so, at this time no one is allowed to start start breeding or training, but may get their imports or starting dogs for their lines. Then after the sign up time allow a month for working on lines before the final qualifying day(s) when everyone must post their dogs to make sure they comply with the rules and are ready to event.
