Toy Challenge of DOOM!! [Over!]

Welcome, all, to the first semi-annual Toy Challenge of Doom! The object of this event is to present a challenge to the trainers/breeders/eventers of VP, promote a positive community spirit and friendly competition. The theme this time around is the amusing mental image of toys in weight pulling. Entrants will breed and train their own dogs for this competition. The use of public studs/broods and/or crossing lines with other players is acceptable. Only the following toy breeds will be eligible to compete in this event: Bichon Frise Chihuahua Chinese Crested German Spitz (Toy) Cavilier King Charles Spaniel Moscow Toy Terrier Pekingese Pomeranian Teacup Chihuahua Teacup Papillion Volpino Italiano The reason for the breed restrictions is that the above listed all have 1-star strength (whereas unlisted toy breeds have 1.5- or 2-star strength.) This should help keep the field fairly even to start with (prior to everyone breeding their lines up.) Dogs that will be actively competing in the event (this does not apply to breeding stock that will not be entered) may only be trained to the age of 7.0.0. Any dogs older than 7.0.0 at the start of eventing will be disqualified. An accidental turn would be accommodated, but please keep a close eye on those ages! Rules *Be respectful! This includes toward your fellow competitors and the host. Whining/negative remarks that deteriorate the fun spirit of the event will not be tolerated. If you have a complaint about something, please PM me directly instead of posting it on the thread. *Competing dogs may only be of the above listed breeds. *Dogs must begin competition no older than 7.0.0! *Dogs may only enter Toy Challenge of Doom! events. Any outside events will result in disqualification. *Dogs competing must be branded with "TCoD" so it is easy to tell if they belong in these events or not. Of course you may add your own kennel brand as well. *Players must include the word carp in their sign-up post to indicate that they have read these rules. *Events will be open for entries for 3 days at a time. Extensions will not be given; if you know you won't be able to enter your pup(s) you can make alternate arrangements (such as having a friend enter them for you.) *Eventing will progress in a tier structure: Tier I - 40 events (2 sets of 20) - 6 days - all entrants Tier II - 20 events (1 set of 20) - 3 days - finals (best 6 competitors and their dogs) *At least 10 players must sign up in order for the event to commence. The more, the better! *Players may enter up to 4 dogs. These may be from the same breed or multiple breeds, so long as they are breeds listed above. *Have fun!

Scoring Dogs will receive their final placings based on monetary wins (amount of VPC earned.) All events will be 1k entry fees. In the event of a tie, the WPS record will be calculated and used to break the tie. This is determined by adding the total wins, places, and shows of the dog and dividing this sum by the total number of events. Timeline (Tentative) April 30th - Event announced, players may begin working on their lines. June 1st (morning) - First set of Tier I events go up. June 3rd (evening) - First set of Tier I events run. First cut. June 3rd (evening) - Second set of Tier I events go up. June 6th (evening) - Second set of Tier I events run. June 6th (evening) - Field is cut down to 6 participants. June 6th (evening) - Tier II events go up. June 9th (evening) - Tier II events run. June 10th - Final placings announced. Prizes The biggest prize of all will be bragging rights.

But there also is: 1st: 2 mil 2nd: 1 mil 3rd: 500k 4th: 300k 5th: 100k Donations gladly accepted.

Additional "for fun" prizes may be added. I haven't decided quite yet.

Note: The placings are per player, not per dog. So say you had two dogs, one of which came in 1st and the other 3rd. You would get the 1st place prize with your best dog, while 3rd place would be open to another player to allow for maximum prize distribution.

You do not have to start your line from imports - you can create a line using imports or already bred dogs.

Just making sure I'm on the right page with everything. -We can either start a line with imports or dogs already in game -we are to work with the breed we choose: training, and breeding until we get our desired event dogs -stars ( 2x4, 6x4, 8x4, etc....) doesn't matter

-Yes, you may start your line(s) with any dogs you choose, be they imports or already bred generations. -Yes, train and breed your line until you reach stats you would be comfortable with as show dogs for this event. The only deadline is that they must be ready to event June 1st. -Stars don't matter as far as the judging of this event is concerned on my end; the only impact they have is insofar as the game scores the actual events (so the higher you can get strength, the better since weight pull judges heavily on that stat.) :)

Yes, you may begin training and breeding at any time. Dogs must have not participated in any events.
