Stat Probability?

This crossed my mind in AP bio while doing some punnet squares today when we were discussing probabilities. <br><br>Is there a probability for getting certain stats on dogs based off of the parents?<br><br>For example:<br>If you were to breed a dog with a <span style="font-weight:bold">147.7</span> birth speed to a dog with a <span style="font-weight:bold">148.1</span> birth speed, is there any specific probability for getting a dog with a 148, 148.1, etc. speed? Or is it all at random based on the stats of the parents?<br><br>There is obviously an inheritance factor, but I'm talking about PROBABILITY. <br>Is it random?<br>Or is there a way to figure out the probability of getting a specific stat number?
