I Hate Him.

edited March 2012 in Vent
I hate him so much, just so much. 'Him' being my stepdad. He is a child, and I mean that in a bad way. My stepdad needs to get his way, if something gets screwed up, he goes all into a temper tantrum. That's another story, though. Today I had a band concert, and afterwards, my mom planned to pick up a couple steak and cheeses for supper at this little restaurant nearby. Turns out that they're closed in Tuesday. Okay, we had to go to the supermarket anyway. But, since my stepdad planned on steak and cheese, my mom called him to see if anything else was on his mind. They went back and forth for a while, but another thing about my stepdad is that he had absoulutely no paitence. He suggested this other place that my mom doesn't like. Obviously, she said no, but offered to pick him up something from there. He goes, "Oh, no, no. Too much work." Really? They're in the same plaza. Then he got all upset because he doesn't think my mom has tried them enough. My mom tells him she's been there's dozen times, and he goes, quote, "Fine, get whatever you want. I don't care." Alright, cool. We pick up a little frozen pizza, and some shaved steak to make the sandwiches ourselves.

We get home, and the second he see's the pizza on the counter, he says, "They didn't have any ready made ones?" My mom explains that they did, but we're expensive and didn't look worth the money. She also mentions that she offered to get him something he wanted at the place. He gets all pouty and says, rather angrily, "I told you to get what you want!!" That made no sense to me, considering that he just complained about what we got. He was quiet for a few minutes, then found something else to pout about.

My mom cooks the steak, and he comes upstairs to toast his roll. While he's waiting, I'm already eating. The second I am even close to being done, he says, "Remember what happened to your stepsister when she ate the franks and beans?" For the record, this isn't said to remember good times. He means it as in I'm eating too fast. That's not even fair! My stepsister would had downed two bowls of beans and hot dogs within it had taken me to eat most of the steak and cheese! (She threw up because she ate too fast, by the way.)

Just, ugh! I hate him!

 • Wow, yeah that's just rude. Your mom works as hard as she can to please him, and then it seems like he takes it for granted. She works her butt off and he still isn't happy? It's like he doesn't make up his mind either. I feel bad for you and your mom :(

 • Sounds just like my aunt. When something doesn't go her way, she starts saying and doing things that make no sense. Like now. She's mad at my mom and my mom offers to take her dog to the vet because we are already going. You'd think shed be like "Oh good I don't have to go all the way to the vet today" right? Nope. She tells my mom she will be taking her own dog to the vet (even though she had to make a special trip all the way there and back home). Today we had to ask her to pick up something and we called from my moms phone. No answer. So we called from my phone. She picked up. Coincidence? Maybe. But I don think so. I hate when teens/children are excpected to act like adults when the adults are acting like children! [/rant] Oh well, at least I don't have to -live- with her. Sorry.
