Saddle Restoration Project :D

A few months ago I took pictures of this saddle when I got it from my uncle. It was just sitting in his old cattle barn for years since they moved there and he brought it with, and he gave it to me a few months ago. I've finally got around to seeing what needs fixed and cleaning it. Just spent the morning cleaning the thing and finding out we need a new hose..but regardless.

I could've swore it was a dark leather..but nope, it's black, clear as day now, haha. I'm excited to order the silver conchos for the 6 spots and putting new leather strips on the back two, getting some black stirrups, and getting a tack set to go with it.

But, without further ado:
Also, excuse the garbage can stand. I don't have a saddle rack yet (use the one at the barn for my other saddle) and it's been sitting in my garage on a plastic bin.

And here we have the BEFORE pictures:

<img src="http://i52.tinypic.com/25z718p.jpg"; alt="http://i52.tinypic.com/25z718p.jpg"; class="bb-image" />
<a href="http://i52.tinypic.com/2h7j6hc.jpg"; target="_blank" class="bb-url">http://i52.tinypic.com/2h7j6hc.jpg
<a href="http://i53.tinypic.com/2w319gm.jpg"; target="_blank" class="bb-url">http://i53.tinypic.com/2w319gm.jpg

And here we have the PROGRESS pictures:

<img src="http://i55.tinypic.com/10p2d8l.jpg"; alt="http://i55.tinypic.com/10p2d8l.jpg"; class="bb-image" />
<img src="http://i54.tinypic.com/1zo91y8.jpg"; alt="http://i54.tinypic.com/1zo91y8.jpg"; class="bb-image" />
<img src="http://i41.tinypic.com/ejd7pe.jpg"; alt="http://i41.tinypic.com/ejd7pe.jpg"; class="bb-image" />
<img src="http://i44.tinypic.com/4q6gx2.jpg"; alt="http://i44.tinypic.com/4q6gx2.jpg"; class="bb-image" />

Now..So far I've:
-Checked the tree and made sure it was solid and not broken.
-Pried open the Blevin's Buckles for the stirrups because they were rusted together. D:
-Rinsed dirt off with some water and a sponge, let dry.
-Took an old sock and did a general, overall wash with Glycerin Saddle Soap (It smells real funky, lmao), Polished and let dry.
-Took an old sock and did a general, overall oiling with Pure Neatsfoot Oil, polished with a shirt sleeve and let dry.
-Took a soft bristle toothbrush and went over everything, especially the nooks I missed originally, with the Saddle Soap again.
-Scraped the rust off the Blevin's Buckles and cleaned dirt/dust from the left stirrup.

To do:
-Clean all rust from buckles, rigging, and studs.
-Order conchos and a tie hobble/strap thing.
-Order black oversize (or ropers) stirrups.
-Purchase Stirrup Hobbles to keep my stirrups from flipping up and not staying where they're suppose to.
-Order back cinch rigging and back cinch.
-Purchase a cute little shoo-fly to attach.(: lol

Now..what colours are we going to do for this tack set? lol
If you can't tell, I'm already a tack addict, and I don't even have the money for it. xD
I'm thinking hunter green, yellow, or royal blue. :3
