How much Would you Pay?

edited March 2012 in Artist Alley
This is my first time playing VP but I have played many other online sites (mainly horse based) and normally I do commissions :D So now, lol its time to test the waters here!

this is my deviantart: <a href="http://billygoatsgruff.deviantart.com/"; target="_blank" class="bb-url">http://billygoatsgruff.deviantart.com/

I was mainly interested in seeing what price you would pay for my art (basic shaded with no background). Feel free to post whatever you think would be an appropriate price, I have no idea what the economy is like on VP. Once I get an idea (and finish my money commissions) I will consider opening up a commission thread. Now, I generally draw horses but I can basically draw any animal with four legs XD

Anyways, thank you for your time!

 • thanks for the feedback :] what is considered "expensive" for VP?
 • It really depends on the item.

For art, I consider anything from 10mil+ expensive. But I'm an artist myself, so unless you're really good (and you are ;D) I don't buy art from anyone. >_>;

For dogs... I don't buy dogs. 8'D So more than 100k is too much for my tastes unless it's a really rare dog/color/etc

It also depends on who you ask. I have over 100mil scattered between several different kennels. But I've played for... six years? And I sell art, and I train, so I do the high-money-earning stuff. xD

If you ever want to do an art trade or collaboration (or feel like selling me some lineart I can color for my kennels because I hate drawing ponies >_>; ) toss me a PM 8D

 • If you sell them at sweetypie's price (which I don't recommend) I'll take the first million spots or so ;)

Kazuko pretty much summed it up.. But, I have to ask. Did you draw the horse one the first page?! Its amazing!

Nononononono. ;)

Wow. That is amazing. Probably around 5 to 10 mil, like Kazuko said. :-)
 • I'd go as even further to say 20mil if you opened only 1-2 commission spots in auctions.

If you have a lot of slots opening and such I'd agree with Kaz's price statement =)

 • Also agree with Kaz, and everyone else. Beautiful work :)

 • I was thinking about 15-20 mil per slot. I generally only have 1-2 slots open anyways when I do actually have a commission thread.
 • Auction 1 to 3 spots at a time, then close for a while. Gets people itchy feet so want to pay lots xD

-slobbers on the goat- you left me last night D:

 • I didnt see any dogs and I realy like to see an examle for that before I base a price but I've bought a lot of art and from what I can see your very good with your horses and the lion work sheets are very well done. So the price range from 5-10M for what you are offering does seem like the best choice.

If you auction I agree with papper you may even get more then that.

I'll most likely be one of those who wait for you to decide on weather or not you are going to open commishion or auction them.
