Born this way D;

Nah this isn't a rant about that song or lady gaga xDD

When you are developing these dimple-like things (not a doctor so its hard to explain) that are supposed to close off. I was born where one of mine didn't close off leaving it prone to infections and abscesses. I had one of these back in summer and now I am getting it again.

These are painful! Anyone that has had them (in the region mine is) will tell you its horrible pain. When they are really bad you can't lie down in any position without feeling it, you can't walk without feeling them, and you definitely have issues sitting. I woke up last summer from pain with mine.

Luckily the first one went away with antibiotics but now I have my second one. I just started antibiotics again. I am too scared for lancing (draining it) so I have to deal with it until the antibiotics calm it down.

I was referred to a surgeon and we will go in and talk to her about options because for this to stop reoccurring I will most likely need surgery. I've never had surgery and it freaks me out, not to mention I just got a gym membership and not sure how long recovery is but either way its a blow to me Dx

 • Surgery isnt nearly as bad as it sounds. When i was 14 i spent a week in the hospital while my back was cut open and i had permanent rods attached to my backbone. Stitches and a scar that looks like a zipper but i never remember feeling any pain from it. Worst part was the weird dreams i had in the hospital. O-o dont wanna know about those though.
 • It's just so creepy to me because I've never had it. Never had a cast or stitches either. I was a pretty healthy and safe kid D;

That whole thing with the rods.. freaks me out too. Sounds scary ;;

 • Surgery seriously isn't that bad. I had my mouth cut open and the skin scraped off a tooth in the roof of my mouth (they attatched a bracket to it and attactched that to my braces). They also cut a tooth out of the front of my bottom row of teeth and stitched it up. And cut out a tooth somewhere else in the roof of my mouth and put more stitches in. All I remember was waking up in a wheelchair, and then waking up again on the couch at my house, sucking down milkshakes and sleeping. I have to get my wisdom teeth out soon and I have to keep reminding myself it's not gonna be that bad =P

 • The thing is, I won't be able to sit when its done xD. Laying down would be painful too. That interferes with a lot of my life. A lot of money was recently put into training for me so I don't want that to be a waste with recovery which I heard is about a month.

Anyways, my cyst is feeling much better. With advice from someone else, using epsom salt worked and it started to go away on its own. I can now lay and sit without pain as well as fully stand up when before I couldn't.
