Horse Issue. Suggestions?

I've worked with TONS of horses and encountered some interesting things in the past few years.
But I've met a rather odd challenge with one of my own horses, Creole.
The problem is chewing. And not NORMAL chewing, like on wood and stuff. He's chewing my hair.
Anytime I turn my back to him he starts to chew my hair. It's the weirdest behavior I've come across!
I've tried a couple of things to get him to stop but with no luck.

Does anyone have any ideas of how to try and fix this?

 • Do you mean like, cribbing? Or just chewing on everything? D:
 • Do they have horse bitter sweet? Bitter sweet is spray for dogs that tastes nasty to them so they stop chewing whatever they were (supposedly when my dogs were pups we put it on their leash and it helped none, maybe its just because they are Border Collies and playing tug was so much fun they didn't care  ). You could just spray it in your hair and if he doesn't like it then he will soon learn your hair tastes bad :P
Ooo I never thought of that! I'm not sure if they have it for horses but I think I have some from my dogs. It should be safe for horses right? I can't imagine why it wouldn't be

 • Probably. Just don't touch your hair! It tastes horrible to humans to and stays that way for a week or two.

 • I wouldnt spray any gunk if you hair. ;D that would just end up nasty plus youd have to do it every time you ride while you have creole to make it effective. Its kind of common for foals to chew on tails. Roman chewed on Tawnys but ive never heard of a full grown horse eating a humans hair O-o. Reguardless, if it were me, when he decided to chew on me id do how i did Roman with nipping. When he tries to eat your hair, take his muzzle in your hands and RUB it. Not hard or meanly. The point isnt to hurt or dicipline him. The idea is to annoy him. He learns that when his muzzle approches you hair he doesnt like it, he's not gonna be scared of it, hence no headshyness, but itll have a bad association when he muzzles your hair so he should decide that hair isnt worth it.
