This weekend I took Creole to a jumping clinic.
Thursday evening was a really nice, easy going clinic where they determined which clinic you were going to be placed in the next day based off of your horses energy level and the ability of the rider as well as the horse.
I got my clinic assignment on Friday morning, went over there and it was all adults that looked crazy intimidating. The only young riders there were myself and 2 other girls. They had a course set up at 3foot jumps up to what looked like 5.5feet. I about had a heart attack. The highest I've ever jumped with Cre was about 4.5feet.
There were about 20 people in my clinic group and we had to go through a warm up course and then the instructor would critique and all that shenanigans.
Then later on they did a equitation section and hunter section and stuff.
Anyways...we got through the clinic, I got off of Creole and almost fell over when I hit the ground. I couldn't feel my calves at all!!!
That was the most intense clinic I've ever been to in my life! Creole and I jumped one 4.9foot fence (pretty sure that was the height)and I was convinced I was going to die >.<
I could hardly walk this morning when I went to get Cre out of his stall and I did a hunt seat equitation class this morning. I don't think it's ever been this hard for me to post out of my saddle.
Any ideas of how to get rid of the constant cramps in my legs?! I'm in sooo much pain!
