Bonnie(:

I've been wanting a small someone to make their home in my room. So, I figured this little Robo would do. I have other pets, but this post is only for her.

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/65332302@N06/6697558267/in/photostream"; target="_blank" class="bb-url">http://www.flickr.com/photos/65332302@N ... hotostream
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/65332302@N06/6697558117/in/photostream"; target="_blank" class="bb-url">http://www.flickr.com/photos/65332302@N ... hotostream
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/65332302@N06/6697558183/in/photostream"; target="_blank" class="bb-url">http://www.flickr.com/photos/65332302@N ... hotostream

Hopefully I can get a boy and name him Clyde, we'll see.(:

  • I had two with matching names ;D Mine were both boys though the stores swears they were all girls. Names we Pip and Squeak
  • Aww. That fits them perfectly since they're so tiny.
I'm hoping she's a girl like they said she was. xD

  • Aww she's adorable!! I had one named Sadie :) They make -such- good little pets!

  • Thanks(:

Did they ever get comfortable with either of you? Right now if you make sudden movements she hides in the blue thing or under the wheel.

  • Mine didn't, but she was also a severely neglected rescue. If you just got her, give her a couple of days to adjust, and then start with just putting your hand in her cage for a few minutes, then extend the time. She should get used to you like that. That's how I always started hand training my regular hammies.

  • Yea. I was planning to put my hand in there for a few minutes a day. I try to leave her alone, but I can't stop looking at her. xD She's so pretty.
How well did your other hamsters work out?
    tuffalways_zpszw4dws9d.png
• lol She is quite pretty :)

Oh they all worked out very well. Most of them were rescues and I got them to be all friendly and most were re-homed. I had to keep my two favorites though, lol

  • How cute ^-^ I love the facial pattern
I believe you can tell if it's a male or female by whether it has a "butt" and "belly button"
..as I thought they were when I got my male hamster at a much younger age. LOL. Yeah..
Here's something that'll help you out: <a href="http://www.myhammie.com"; target="_blank" class="bb-url">http://www.myhammie.com; (link is to the right)

  • I'm glad to hear they worked out! Gives me hope for Bonnie. Where do you get all these hamsters that need rescuing?

That link will be very helpful. As soon as she gets more comfortable I'll be taking a peak xD Looking for that punctuation.

Bonnie is loving her home so far, I believe. She's constantly on her wheel, the pet store didn't have one in the display so it's all new for her.

  • The names are cute. :c I hare Almond and Joy. XD But, now I just have Almond.

Hammies are lot's of fun. I had some, a while ago though. Good luck with her, small animal socialization takes quite a while. :D But, they're a lot more fun once they're tame.

I had a friend who worked at an animal shelter, and she would sometimes bring me hamsters that needed help.

  • Aww! I've got a Robo. I like her pink bedding. :D
  • Thanks Pumpkin! I saw the pink bedding and had to have it xD And actually seeing your Robo led me in the direction of getting Bonnie. Before I saw the pictures of yours all I knew is I wanted some little animal. Then I saw your post and I fell in love. Haha

And Rockie. It sounds nice to be able to help animals like that. I don't know if I'd ever be able to part with any of them though.(:

  • Aren't they the cutest!!? :D The only thing is, mine is really skiddish. D:

Do you know how much more pink bedding costs than the regular type?! XD Here, anyway, it's about $5 more. ^^
  • They are adorable.
And she is skiddish too. But, I'm hoping it's just because everything here is new. She seems to be getting a little more calm, but that could just be my imagination.

Patty- No, I didn't look. I never knew there was a difference. It's not a huge deal because her cage won't speed through it. When I filled it up yesterday it barely put a dent in the bag and I might've put too much in the cage. I just wanted her to have enough to hide and sleep.
On the other hand, our Chinchilla cage takes most of a bag when we change out the bedding in his cage. For him we get blue. I'll have to check it out the next time I go to the pet store xD

  • Well, it's kind of a Robo thing. They're are generally a skiddish breed, but if you work/socialize with them, they eventually get better. :)
  • Our guinea pigs cages are huuuge. So, that's the only reason I care. Hamster cages are a lot smaller. Do you get the small bags?
  • For Bonnie, I got the small pink one.
I believe for Cole we got the next size up. His cage is very large. Haha
