Glad I could help C:

Also if you have just the one door maybe consider putting an ex pen in front of the door so it creates a second room almost. That way if you open one door the other is closed and vice versa.
Everyone here agrees a cage muzzle would be a good idea. Looking forward to seeing what kind of progress we can make. (: I really appreciate the help and support. I'll keep you guys updated.
I know i'm a little late on this, but I had to say: I can relate completely. LARU, my pride and joy, despite what people think (perfect, obedient dog), was extremely dog aggressive, and there will always be that itch in her that makes her want to chase that random dog down the street, or attack that annoying yapping dog that everyone hates. The whole point is, no matter how tempting: SHE WONT. Her breed was CREATED for dog fighting, so of course it was a challenge to train her. (I knew from the beginning that I would have to do this type of training because of her breed though, so it's never even crossed my mind to have her put down. It would be unfair to her, when I knew what I was getting myself into the moment I contacted her breeder.) Instead of muzzling her up and trapping her in the house though, I decided to let her channel her aggression by competing, and after two years of training she was able to get her very first 'job'. Her first 'job' was as a personal protection dog, and after even more extensive training, she was able to compete in Schutzhund. I noticed that with 'work' in her life she was ultimately a laid back, perfect dog. And the personal protection training taught her to understand when an attack was needed, and when she was absolutely not allowed to bite. She turned out to be the best family dog. A few months after she took up Schutzhund I started training her for other sports. She's participated in weight pulling, agility, fly ball, and obedience.. among others that she did for hobby just a few times. My point is, it may take a LONG time.. but with work and determination I believe any dog can be trained. And if the person to train her just isn't you anymore, don't feel bad for having to give her up so that others may be safe... so that SHE will have a better quality of life. I know that when it comes to my dog i'm selfish, I never would have been able to give her up, which is the only reason why I trained her, reguardless of the fact that it took me years to do it. LARU has had my full trust for two years now, she can sit in a doorway for hours, not moving one inch, even when her dog enemy passes by barking and snarling. And she never shows her teeth unless given the command to do so. I take her to open dog parks regularly and she socializes perfectly.

Now, that being said, i'd like to 'thumbs up' (?) the suggestions made by everyone, especially emme's last comment, and Trianna's advice, (Vampy's as well). If competing / vigorous training just isn't the thing for your baby of course the 'dangerous dog' precautions must be taken, and they've pretty much been covered by everyone else. I wish you good luck with that. Good luck period. I hope things work out for you Patty, situations like these CAN end well, don't give up. I wish the best for you!
That's awesome, Zyn. (:

We do S&R, she's fine with her team and can concentrate well. We also do agility and she enjoys herding a lot. She's very good with the cattle. Very good listener, herding takes a lot of cues, and good listening.
In that case, there MUST have been something that set her off. It could just be the dog, or it could be what happened in that situation, something you might have missed? Maybe she just slipped up and gave in to temptation finally.. although that isn't good either. Hopefully the muzzle works. Again, good luck. I'll be waiting for updates!
Sorry, can't give ya much advice in this area, as only dogs I ever had 'aggressive' I knew why they would attack for sure. :P But just wanted to say good luck!
