Ok so I am in Small Animal I in my vet tech classes. And the class before that we learned about restraint on animals. And there a pain, because the animal doesn't want to participate. But when watching other people restraint it looks so easy, like they have their own techniques and favorites for everything. So I want to ask my fellow vet techs or anybody who knows about restraints whats your favorite and your spin on them? For example my favorite restraint on a cat is the <a href="

And we had a fractious cat and our head vet said scruff like your life depends on it, lol. So when I used my weight on the cat to get his nails trimmed and ears cleaned, he hardly moved when he went crazy. And I like to keep it simple with dogs so I like the standing restraint, and to make the dog move less, if its a fractious dog is to put hi in a headlock almost, where my palm is touching my chin. But if I have a really difficult cat then a cat bag with a cat muzzle is my best friend, lol.
