    Chickens are THE best.<br>I mean, really. I'm dead serious. They make awesome pets. 8D I had three hens, and they were the greatest. They'd follow me to the bus stop, eat from our hands, and crouch down and open their wings partly so we could pick them up easily.<br><br>...Make yours a bandana. It won't like it, but it'll be FUNNY. Ours walked backwards in a circle for the longest time trying to back out of them. 8'D

    Kaz thats hilarious! My dad raises them for a living. We literally raise 70,000 chickens for 5 weeks then sell them all then have two weeks to get ready for more. So weve been through a lot of chickens... i not TECHNICALLY supposed to have any birds at ALL buuut... my daddy said that in the 25 years he's raised chickens he's never seen a pure white one like him, so he brought him home for me. I REALLY hope its a hen.

    They are cobb 500s xD basically a mixed breed chicken that gives fast growth rates. But its pure white. Like... PURE white. Weve seen everything from off yellow to bright yellow but never a pure white one. Itll look just likea normal leghorn when it gets feathers but you woulnt see me complaining. Ive always wanted a pet chicken lol!!

    Chickens make.... interesting... pets. XD I never had a particularly tame chicken, but we had a semi-tame black polish rooster named Spike... He was amusing. He looked like he had a cottonball glued to his head when he was a chick. :lol: I'd suggest pigeons if you enjoy having birds... pretty easy to tame, and they have some interesting varieties. Fantails in particular resemble itty bitty turkeys.

    <br><br>I actually had a friend with a pet pidgeon. We found it at a horse show. Had fallen out of the nest so she took it home and raised it lol!!! Abilene the pidgeon flew away and never came back but its okay cuz NOW she's nursing a baby squirrel lol!!!

    Pet chickens are amazing. No other creature can compare to my Ophelia. She's just like a dog. Well, the turkey is pretty good competition but Ophelia will always be my heart bird. =)

    I have a chicken named Little Foot after the dinosaur on Land Before Time. She was the smallest one my bf hatched and now she weighs around 15lbs. She is a big chicken, but I still think she is the cutest thing (:

    Im up to 14 already. I started out with Boo. Then mom brought me home a grey and two blacks, and today i brought home ANOTHER white (O.O) two greys, and seven blacks i believe.

    Between my bf and myself we have 10, but we plan on hatching more out in the spring and selling them for Easter. We had 20, but we had to sell all of our roosters because they crowed and people complained... But we kept one because he does not know how to crow. He tries but it comes out as almost a whisper type clucking lolz

    Well the thing that made us mad was there are police officers in both of our neighborhoods that have roosters and no one complains about them, but we got ours taken away.

    Yeah. I mean I am all for respecting our public safety men and women seeing my parents are both in that field (mum is an EMT and my step-dad is a firefighter/paramedic). I have no issue with respecting them, but they do not deserve special treatment. For God's sake on of the officers with roosters is the one who served us the papers saying we can not have roosters in our neighborhood.
