Hair Cut Ideas?

I need my hair cut...badly. I want something kind of 'artsy' and edgy. Not all girly and shenanigans but nothing too crazy! I've looked at some photos but none really pop out at me. I might also be dying it a light reddish-brown (currently dark blonde, not quie brown). My hair is also naturally curly, kind of like 'beach curls' not corkscrews. but I can straighten it and whatnot. So hit me with your ideas for an artsy, edgy hair style!

I guess it all depends what shade you will be coloring your hair and what color it is now haha. Can you find a pic on google or something to see what colors you will and do have?

I'm in love with layers! My hair is 3/4 down my back and I have a layer as short as up to my chin. Maybe that's something you'd be interested in? I have wavy hair with ringlets underneath but it always looks slightly better straightened... It just looks more even and more blended. It's sort of grown out now and doesn't look as nice otherwise I'd take a photo to show you. Is your hair thick? Thin? Medium?

I think it depends on how 'edgy' you wanna get. xD I really like the second short cut Myst posted. My hair is naturally curly, too. I just recently cut all of my hair off into a pixie cut from [Edited by staff; do not post pictures of yourself]. I love it, but it's not something everyone could/would do. Your face shape and the body of your hair and a lot of other things tie into what you can and can't do with it. I didn't like layers because my hair didn't like to stay straight.

I LOVE your hair. I wouldn't have the courage to do that myself, but I envy that you did. And it came out really, really good (: For something edgy, I'd suggest razored layers (basically the stylist doesn't use scissors, just a razor so that they come out more jagged/shaggy/edgy/yeah). when your hair was long it is almost EXACTLY how my hair is now. I wouldn't be able to pull off a pixie cut haha

Ooo I REALLY like the razored look, especially the bangs in the first pic. That's something I'll be looking into. If you find anymore examples of that kind of look let me know! I'll be looking too!

1 warning about the razor. It completely ruined my hair. I used to have thick nice ahir but ever since my stylist used a razor it's been thinner and not quite grown right. I LOVED the look and haircut till I realized what had happened.

Hmmm that's interesting. I'll keep that in mind. My stylist is my friend's mom so I'll be sure she knows I don't want it to grow all funky.
