Okay, So Arrest Me.

edited November 2011 in General Discussion
Happy Halloween, guys! One of my favorite times of the year.

Anyway, so arrest me. My dog has a costume. Yeah, it's not like I make her walk around it in, left her unattended, etc. I put it on for a few minutes, snapped some pictures, and took it off. The whole thing was a positive experience, she was being fed treats and praised, and it wasn't like she cared, anyway.

<a href="http://i1219.photobucket.com/albums/dd436/Frostbight8/8cf0f3ab.jpg"; target="_blank" class="bb-url">http://i1219.photobucket.com/albums/dd4 ... f0f3ab.jpg
<a href="http://i1219.photobucket.com/albums/dd436/Frostbight8/9b17e52d.jpg"; target="_blank" class="bb-url">http://i1219.photobucket.com/albums/dd4 ... 17e52d.jpg

So appropriate for her. She's my little wicked witch of the east.

  • So cute! I dressed Czar up before he went to work with my mom, everyone thought he was adorable. I'll have to post a picture, he was a bug. xD
  • I bought Bayleigh a chicken costume but it was to small so I took it back. I was so cheap I didn't even get her another one in a bigger size. lol

Your pup's costume is cute. I wanted to dress Kaiser up like a pony (he's a great dane) and steal someone's little kid and make him/her be a cowboy/cowgirl. It would have been cute to take them trick or treating together.
  • awww your dog is soo cute especially in the Witch costume, and Zagari that sounds so funny, ive thought about stealing someones little kid to go trick or treating with before so i have an excuse to dress up lol. Never done it. My boyfriend suggested I dressed my cat up as fang from Mona the Vampire, for those of you who dont know heres a picture of Fang from mona the vampire <a href="http://images.wikia.com/heyarnold/images/8/89/Mona_le_vampire_big.gif"; target="_blank" class="bb-url">http://images.wikia.com/heyarnold/images/8/89/Mona_le_vampire_big.gif;

  • So, why the little rant in the beginning? Was someone giving you crap for putting her in a costume? I don't think it really matters unless the dog is terrified or doesn't want it on. Not the case for your baby though, she looks adorable! I dressed my 200 pound Tosa up as a cow, he had this smug look on his face, like he was offended, even though he's all muscle. My other Tosa was Scooby Doo, and my PitBull was Rapunzel. I let them go outside to greet all the kids and I let families take pictures with them. They all looked so happy to have the attention and could care less that they had costumes on, none of them even made an attempt to take the clothes off. They didn't want to come back in at the end of the night. It was an awesome halloween. Hope you had fun! xD And kudos for being original, haven't seen that costume.
Goodbye old VP, hello disaster. xD
  • *Shrugs* Mostly because of my mom, she doesn't agree with any doggy clothing. And, to keep people who do dislike the idea from turning this thread into a debate. We're on a dog website, you're bound to get different opinions.

Anyway, that sounds really cute! I haven't seen a dog in a cow costume.. That would certainly be interesting. Pookie is okay with being dressed up.. Not because I do it often, just because I don't think she cares. XD At Christmas my aunt had these bands that went around the dog's legs, and jingles. Her Cavalier, Ruby, HATED then with a passion, and would start trying to get them off. My grandmothers dog, Buddy (Pookie's.. Mutt brother) refused to walk with them, and my dog just walked away.

  • I'll dress my dogs up in warm clothes when it's really cold outside. I know that my Tosas love it. When it's cold and I go into my closet they come running up and sit by my feet waiting for a sweater or something. And my female Tosa, Laru, actually grabs clothes out of my drawer when it's open, I posted pictures of her on here doing that. xD They refuse to have anything on their feet though, I don't see the point in that anyway.

I even dress my rats up, they had hats and sweaters on this halloween cause it was cold here. : ) They just run around and play like usual, not even noticing. The Rapunzel costume was my favorite, Champagne had the wig on and all. xD You can tell that your dog is really mellow when they allow you to do this stuff.

  • My chihuahua has a strawberry Halloween costume 0.0 ill get pics later tonight of her in it. i think its still in her "closet" with her other clothes xD
  • My Granny is that way about clothes on dogs. I on the other hand LOVE putting little sweaters on my dogs, but they also enjoy doing it so it is not like I am forceing them to wear them. My Yorkie Makinzie has to wear them in the winter because she has mild anemia so she gets cold easily. If she gets to cold, she will actually go to her basket and "pick out" which sweater she wants to wear and bring it to me. She sometimes even gets it over her head and all I have to do is put her paws through. I never even had to train her to do that, she just did it one day and has not stopped. She also likes hair dryers hahaha.

  • WOW your yorkie sounds well cute, a dog that loves hair dryers? thats awesome, my cat is scared to death of the hair dryer, my bf was drying his hair (kinda long) and the cat was on the bed, as soon as the dryer was on the cat backed away and then climbed down the side of the bed and hid under it until my bf finished

  • Awwww. I don't really like cats, but I have one named D.J. and she sleeps with me and Makenzie. She [D.J.] is more dog-like than cat-like though lolz
