He's adorable! Shouldn't he have been 8 weeks before going to his new home?
<br><br>Thanks! He's eating and drinking on his own, and the mother was starting to get nippy with the babies, so the lady said that they were all ready to go.<br><br>
Hey! No bunny throwing! <span style="font-size:85">You are supposed to pile pebbles on toad's backs and then throw <span style="text-decoration:underline">them.</span></span>
Thank you niscus!<br><br>Yea, and it's a little curly-ish like my rex rat, soo you are probably right! Which means that the breeder has no idea what she's talking about. I called her this morning to ask what breed he is and she said he's an American Satin
Some people.... There is no such thing as an AERICAN satin. Satins, yes. AMERICAN satins. No. Anyways this rabbit look to small to be a satin. They grow up to be 11 lbs which is bigger than my calis. Maybe a mini satin but i still vote mini rex
Well he is only 7 weeks and Rockie told me the lady said he was the runt of the litter..<br><br>In my non expert opinion with google image referance and owning a Mini Rex, he looks more like a Satin. In my opinion, Rex bunnies' fur seems to be closer to their skin and has a smoother look to it that doesn't spread when stretched as much as his fur does and the pictures I saw on Google. Though I could be wrong and would have to compare her bunny side by side with mine (which isn't possible) to know for sure.<br><br>But regardless, as I've already told you, he's adorable ^-^
He might be. I just see more of my mini rex in him. Though she IS a pet store bunny so no clue if she could be a mix or not. And im my experience as a breeder, runts usually end up being just as big after a few weeks as the regular sized bunnies.
I say we declare him to be a Mini Rex/ Satin mix,lol then everybody can be partially correct. I don't really care what breed he is, I was only wondering so that I could look up common health concerns of the breed (If rabbits are like dogs in that sense).
Deal. And about the health. GENERALLY not. Some are but usually rabbits are rabbits. Most are a cross from other types of rabbits so theyre pretty intermingled. Cali's are from Himilayans and Florida Whites. Or Lionheads being a cross of lops and jersey woolies. ( i think those are the crosses. Im multitasking so i mightve gotten a breed's cross wrong there)
from my "Raising Better Rabbits" Book<br><br>Opinions differ as to the real origin of the Flemish. It is undisputed that Flanders- the origin of its present name - was the country of it adoption and dissemination throughout Europe and eventual appearance in America. Europe, however, can give no definite information as to how or when it first appeared there. It is known to have been bred there on a large scale during a period of several hundred years. The Flemish Giant is and always will be a popular breed. They are sponsored by the oldest and one of the strongest Specialty clubs in the country. It is said that "Once a Flemish Fancier, always a Fan"<br><br>Quoted xD
