so i was on the bus home and was bored so i thought id read my kindle for a while. i got it out of my bag and the screen was all messed up and unable to read so now im hopefully getting a new one

    Mine did the same thing! I had it sittin on top of a book (irony??) and when i turned it on the screen was messed up. It hadnt fallen or been dropped or even had anything sitting on it. I called and enforced the warrenty and got myself a new one

    I dont have the reciept but my mums sending me a bank statement with the date and purchase from the store, so they should track it down on their computers and then I should get a new one, my mum wanted me to wait until december to get it fixed :O i cant wait that long I love it
